The day China use nuclear weapons -- even just one -- against an 'inferior' Asian nation is the day when all of Asia will unite and carve up China into several pieces.

I recall why the Soviets feared China so: they knew they could nuke 90% of its population, but that would still leave 100 million Chinese survivors boiling mad at them - and perhaps still armed with ICBMs and possessing an intact army.

With that kind of power, how likely is it that China will ever feel the need to resort to the first use of nuclear weapons?

China lobby, that means they could be pro-China but never be against Vietnam's interests. Enhancing the relationship with the US, EU, Japan, India is one of our prime interests now.

Actually, neither India nor Pakistan is idiot .. but smart.

They tend to work together in international affairs, many times (e.g. Pakistan voted for India; and recently India voted for Pakistan in UNSC. India supported EU duty concession to Pak textile exports etc).

Just by maintaining a mildly anti-India posture Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangadesh and Myanmar can extract free "gifts" from China. Pakistan can do so from USA.

Don't worry about pro Chinese corruption group making lobby in Vietnam. Their activities are easy to find out. Recently one VIP person has been done something to let Chinese contractor to won on tender for one project in Vietnam. The person was arrested and put to jail but on others reason very funny.
