As I have said, US cop may not have a lot of education. You cannot apply the standards of you and me to them.

high school graduate with further 4 months training and minimum age restrictions. Add to that a test at the end which is known to be quite difficult and is written with some states having psychiatric and physical tests with some even going for lie detector tests makes the a well trained officer. It is the general racist mindset that is proven by the number of offenders in American prisons by race. And no real punishment for being trigger happy.

Absolutely---cannot touch a cop---if he lets you live---you are going to jail for assault. Cannot disobey a cop---you are in deep shit---. Every law abiding American fears the cop that they cannot see. That is why they stop at stop signs in the middle of nowhere lest a cop is hiding somewhere.

Also when a man is fleeing, you may just want to catch up and hit him with a few stroke of baton to control him. You have plenty of chance to take aim at his legs.

When you aim his torso and pull trigger 5 times, hitting target 3 times, meaning you want him dead.

Even though entrance is high school---that is 12 years of education---you will see educated people as well---college graduates---as your education gets higher---your base pay gets higher-----even for a fresh cop.

In LA a cop would start at around 50 K dollars a year plus benefits---. A 10 + years cop with overtime would be making around or close to 100 K us dollars year plus benefits plus you get the respect you cannot even imagine.

If you shoot someone in the back, that means this guy is fleeing from you and you have no life jeopardy issue. That is unacceptable.

In the video, the black guy is clearly fleeing and then he fall down.

Why would US police want to shoot a fleeing black in the torso?

HE WANT HIM DEAD.

As a former security personnel, sorry, I can only come to such conclusion.

The black guy was fleeing because he didn't want to be caught with the gun in his pocket which he dropped and he had to come back and get it. It was in the video.
