I don't know why half the stuff is full of omissions when comes to this, it never mentioned mujib won the elections but was denied to be leader.
BD should have been an independent nation in 1947. It would have save the bloodshed, loss of precious life, wealth and decades of hate and mistrust.I am glad bdesh has separated from Pakistan, till this day Pakistan remains deeply fractured and has internalised racism against some of its own people.
Imran Khan would have led Pakistan to rise and become stronger and more prosperous. Yet the Pakistani elite stabbed him in the back, they have even removed state security that khan had. This only means that the elite want him dead, and will make it so.
The Pakistan elite have been corrupt from core from the creation of the country. These animals have not learnt from 71', and will continue to be so.
There is no saving Pakistan.
I have never seen this level of hopelessness, depression and defeat in the hearts of Pakistani members that i see now in the last 4 months.I am glad bdesh has separated from Pakistan, till this day Pakistan remains deeply fractured and has internalised racism against some of its own people.

I was very critical of Bajwa on this forum for many years whenever our FC, police and militery personel were targeted in KPK, LOC and Balochestan. Now, I have become numb and exhausted in condemning the senior leaderships extremely poor performance. I have just accepted more of our brave soliders will lose their lives unnecessary.I have never seen this level of hopelessness, depression and defeat in the hearts of Pakistani members that i see now in the last 4 months.
Situation is very very bad and unstable both politically and economically in Pakistan.
One can expect the worst from this point onwards.

Had Bangladesh been independent since 1947 they would have been 20 years ahead in terms of development, maybe even more, the effects Pakistani rule has had was crippling almost 25 years of no ability to pursue self-interest, and a war that essentially neutered the economy. Makes it all the more impressive the way Bangladesh is doing nowBD should have been an independent nation in 1947. Pakistan would have never ever been able to hold onto its eastern wing with india between the two.
Pakistan cannot be compared to Britian or the US who have the might, will, power and wealth to hold onto their overseas territories.
BD made the correct decision to part from Pakistan.
BD remained relatively stable in a region that is not riddled with conflict. Unlike the region Pakistans is situated. Pakistan dealt with the Soviet Afghan war then the US invasion of AFG.Had Bangladesh been independent since 1947 they would have been 20 years ahead in terms of development, maybe even more, the effects Pakistani rule has had was crippling almost 25 years of no ability to pursue self-interest, and a war that essentially neutered the economy. Reason for carving a separate country in 1947 was two nation theory...Muslims and Hindus can't live together as they are different in all aspect.....How would you have justified making Bangladesh another separate country to that logic?... Muslims and Hindus can't live together and West Pakistan's Muslims can't live with Bengali Muslims as well ?...... that would have ripped apart the two nation theory itself....as then religion based differentiation couldn't hold.BD should have been an independent nation in 1947. You have severely underestimated the will, resiliency and resolve of the people of Pakistan.
Insha-Allah they will surmount this mountain of adversity, they are Muslims after all.
Allah tests us with adversity but we know where our Taqwa (faith) is.
How would I justify it? Distance, culture, language etc. Its enough to make a conclusion that Pak and BD share very little in common except faith.Reason for carving a separate country in 1947 was two nation theory...Muslims and Hindus can't live together as they are different in all aspect.....How would you have justified making Bangladesh another separate country to that logic?... Fact of BD's disintegration from Pakistan was not the ones you presented ...... it's not the distance but the superiority complex ridden attitude of Western Pakistanis Elites (both politicians and Generals) who treated Bengalis as their second grade citizens and tried imposing their language/culture on them...made things worse. Over it, not giving them their legitimate share of power despite proving majority proved the last nail in the coffin.

Even parts of Northwest India and Pakistan were divided hastily by an English lawyer who had zero knowledge of the subcontinent.
With the giant neighbour india between the two, there was no chance of unity between the Pak and Bd. Pakistan was a poor nation with bad leadership. Eventually BD would have sought independence. So you agree that faith alone is not enough to bind people together (leave aside carving out a country in the name of it?)... Exactly that is why 2 nation theory was not a practical approach.
Now in contrary...Punjab, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram have non-Hindu majority...and their culture is parsecs apart compared to each other as well as to the North Indian Hindus....yet they are still with India...after 75 years.....something to ponder upon by us....History is to be learnt from...not to be ignored.
