Rome total war gets boring and repetitive after sometime (I started playing with Carthage). If you are into sandbox RPG's you should try out Far Cry 3, I am making do with it until GTA 5 is released

Stopped playing FPS after call of duty , bored with it, too much linearity in storyline. Only multiplayer versions rock (and Battlefield>>>>Medal of Honor)

Vanilla = the original game without any changes made to it

Is it something to do with planes? I also tried world of warplanes but didnt like it, driving panzers is way more fun (or maybe i am not good at flight arcade sims)

Yes and no. War Thunder has a tanks section as well with three difficulty levels: Arcade, realistic and simulator.
