'Very Accurately' Examining Arrest Of Indian In Pakistan, Says Iran

If u don't keep good relation with neighbors over few Indian projects u r in danger Pakistan is centre of the economy with its mass transaction routes which is priceless which India can't payoff

HUH??
Please, simply compare the investments made in India vs. those in Pakistan..
The trend should be enough to tell you the upside of each country...with or without CPEC.

.
i have been saying this for a decade....but that is precisely the reason why our neighbours conspire against us..without power you do not get respect..America and Europe would not be what they are today without their large standing armies..in contrast look at Japan vs China..the later even with cheap imitation goods has surpassed Japan on a global scale...when you have power..you gain trust and security of others..
Yeah it is but i guess iran will learn the hard way same as america did n in process got a threshing that it will always remember.

CPEC's statements r of just security related from our CAOS,

Make up your mind..below is your quote..
Did you mention security anywhere?!

then why u think our CAOS every other day gives statements regarding CPEC and how its a game changer for us and how financially we r going to be in the league of top 25 countries in a decade?:azn:

he n many analysts have said that countless times that it will be a game changer for us and will put us in top 25 countries financially. So there goes yr financial argument.
.

The economic benefits of CPEC are definite. Haven't seen any report by neutral observers that speaks to the CPEC pole vauting Pakistan into a top economy without some very generous assumptions.
I request you to post some reports or numbers that speak to this growth through CPEC trade.

.
You are very welcome to try it, and then you will have 3 enemies surrounding you. And btw, one who lives in a glass house doesn't throw stones. Pakistan and Iran need to be friends for each other and that should be the case no matter what.[/QUOTE]
They need to be friends but they are not.

.
It could also be that the Iranians wanted to play good guy bad guy and deliberately lured Indians so they could later have the pleasure of taking a dump on them..Iranians have their justifications to humiliate India...backing out of IPI and suspending payments for oil being two major of them...

Some rogue anti-Pakistan elements in Iranian state machinery were complicit...as anything in Iran is possible with bribes..

Iranians were complicit because the Indian comforted them to be a harmless information gathering operations which all spy agencies do on friends and foe alike. And the Iranians themselves wanted to inquire more information about Gawader itself. Because the Iranian side of Sistan-Balochistan border is heavily guarded and it is not possible for someone to enter and exit multiple times covertly...Four Pakistani army jawans were killed by Iranian border forces when they suspected them to be smugglers...Iranian border forces have order to shoot and kill anyone suspicious...

All evidence points to some form of collusion with Iranian state authorities even if it was only from low level rogue elements..and the post capture reaction had the Iranians engage in some petty media face saving..which as the saying goes "khisyaani bili khamba noche"

Pakistan sea bed extension makes it very expensive if not impossible...guarding a pipeline hundreds of KMS away from sea shore into international waters is another added expense...during time of war Pakistani sub marines can easily lay mines to neutralize the pipeline..

http://indianexpress.com/article/in...he-pipeline-a-4-billion-deep-sea-gas-project/

A UN resolution last March has dashed India’s hope for a natural gas pipeline from the Middle East. Internal assessment is that a proposed deep-sea gas pipeline from Oman and Iran would run into a diplomatic roadblock following the UN approval.

The $4-billion deepwater pipeline was proposed by South Asia Gas Enterprise (SAGE) from the Middle East — bypassing Pakistan — after the onland Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline got stuck on New Delhi’s decision to backpedal on the project because of geopolitical and security reasons.

Not really that impossible I believe.

Some facts.
A bit of critical facts on the pipelines, both onshore and offshore. It’s 40 times safer than rail tanks and 100 times safer than road tanks. The spillage ratio is also fairly less—it is less than one teaspoon of oil spilled per thousand barrel-miles. Its usage will only grow bigger. The global oil demand, from 75 millions of barrels of oil per day (mb/d) in 2000 is likely to be 120 mb/d in 2030. Fossil fuels will remain the primary source of energy, meeting more than 90 per cent of the increase in future demands. Gas consumption in particular is likely to double by 2030.

Internationally, 32,000km of new pipelines are constructed each year. Around 8,000km of offshore pipelines are being built per year, with 60 percent in NorthWest Europe, Asia Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico.

This is despite the problems of laying offshore pipelines. Route-selection is critical given the geohazards, offshore ecology and physical factors—sea-depths can run many a kilometres deep under. Pipelines need to be laid on the seabed or below it inside a trench. Construction and maintenance is a major challenge due to wave and current dynamics.

One must not also forget that pipeline industry is “risk averse.” It will not take high risks for low rewards as the costs of mistakes—safety, environmental and fiscal—are immense. So the future of basic engineering is likely to be predictable and conservative. Still, 6,000 kilometres of pipeline were laid at the bottom of the North Sea some 40 years ago!

As for war, I guess that's why we are doing it. To have proper fuel stores in case of an exigency, be its nature economical or of armed conflict.

India set to sign agreement with Iran for undersea gas pipeline

Three-pronged push towards Central Asia
  • New Delhi has approved a three-pronged push towards Iran and Central Asia
  • It will fund a rail link between Iranian port city of Chabahar and city of Zahedan, located on the tri-junction of Iran-Afghanistan-Pakistan
  • The rail link, when concluded, will join Chabahar port with INSTC orridor to provide direct access to Central Asia

In a decision of far-reaching strategic implications, India is all set to ink a deal to have a direct undersea gas pipeline from Iran, by circumventing Pakistan. Not only this, New Delhi has approved a three-pronged push towards Iran and Central Asia. It will fund a rail link between the Iranian port city of Chabahar and city of Zahedan, located on the tri-junction of Iran-Afghanistan-Pakistan. The rail link, when concluded, will join Chabahar port with International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) to provide direct access to Central Asia. It will also be used to establish greater links with Afghanistan as the India-built Zaranj-Delaram road in that country is close to Zahedan. In future, the undersea gas pipeline will bring gas from gas-rich Turkmenistan, a long-standing friend of India and a former state in the Soviet Union. A top official of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre told The Tribune: “Yes, the deal for the Iran-India undersea gas pipeline will be done. Matters have become easier as the US-imposed economic sanctions on Iran have been lifted (on January 16)”. Rather India-Iran have held talks on key issues since the lifting of sanctions. Even during the sanctions, India was among the few countries allowed to buy crude oil from Iran. The $4.5 billion gas pipeline project will bring 31.5 million standard cubic metres gas per day to India’s west coast. The 1,400-km pipeline will bypass the exclusive economic zone of Pakistan — the EEZ extends to 200 nautical miles from the coast. Laying such a pipeline would need technical expertise for which a global consortium will lead the way.

sorry my bad i meant t say that CPEC related statements from his arnt only security related but economic, or financial related too. Specially before yr Naval officer was caught, yes however afterwards they r naturally related to its security.

But the latest is that army has request to be part of it as well. to monitor all CPEC related projects and ensure it executing properly.

CPEC was only announced last year. Pakistan is years a way from seeing the benefits. Definitely, there will be some benefits, but how much? The jury is still out.

We dont have to get that far...we are the lever in middle between Iran vs Arabs...just tweak the balance...
yeah i guess i still have to learn to be diplomatic sometimes.

This is not proof of CPEC being a game changer, but more related to what needs to be done from a security standpoint to make it a success for Pakistan.
And army's involvement in administration wreaks more of trying to wet one's beak than a guarantee of success.

and ther wont be none since the west is also shocked n immobile to write the actual economic benefits of it. They r just paranoid abt China and its excess to Gwadar bullshit.

Why not??!
If financial analysts are claiming (as per your own admission) that CPEC is going to make Pakistan a top 25 economy, then they must have some analysis based on projected trade volume, revenues earned by Pakistan among others to make such claims no?
Chalo, lets say the above is not available, at least show us Pakistan's vision wrt. to this. I'm sure Pakistan did their homework on this subject since the nation is so optimistic about its project to call it a "game changer"
Some of your countrymen even claim that the value drawn from CPEC cannot be matched economically by even countries like India...

In my opinion, CPEC will be a spark required to set Pakistan's economy on the right track.."game changer" not so much...But ill let you prove me wrong.

The problem I've seen is that normal Iranians are not anti Pakistan but their Mullah regime is not to be trusted. If there is evidence that Iran knew of Indian RAW operating and funding terrorists in Pakistan's Baluchistan then Pakistan could do the same to Iranian Baluchistan. As some other poster mentioned, Arabs are all ready angry at Iran for funding rebels in Yemen. They are looking for revenge.

The ball is in Iran's court, does it want to continue allow India to operate its anti Pakistani activities because India is a large market, or does it want to increase its relations with its neighbour who can mess around in Sistan-Baluchistan if RAW is allowed to operate its anti Pakistan activities.

.
As on Pakistan laying mines in war time is very dangerous. India will get the excuse to block the whole of Pakistan's coastline. Remember, Unlike Army and Airforce, Indian Navy multiple time more powerful than Pakistan's Navy.
In war India needs no excuse to enforce a blockade on Pakistan. Whether Pakistan mined the pipeline or not blockade always remains a possibility. No one see excuses in full time war.

During war you play with our oil pipelines..we will play with your water supplying rivers :D
We will play with whole India. This discussion only ends with mushroom clouds.

Arabs have been angry at Iran since 1979, but specifically: 1) For being Persian, not Arab 2) for being Shia, not Sunni.

Pakistan are clearly in the Arab/Sunni camp. Iran knows this hence their warm relations with India. You know what they say: the enemy of enemy is my friend.

And?

The pipeline will only just have to be extended and cost increased.

As I said 8,000km of offshore pipelines are being built per year.
I'm sure the recent GOI discussions with Oman and Iran have been done only after the feasibility studies.
