Now, even China's second class shipyard can build a 300,000 tons oil tanker with ease, then imagine the capability of the first class shipyard.

Anyway, China is now perhaps the closest nation to build a 100,000 tons CVN after US.

I still think there is a gap between building tankers and carriers but you're right, China is well positioned to take advantage of its civilian ship building sector (which btw recently overtook the dominant South Koreans in the field )

Building the civilian ship is like the math in the high school. And building the CVN is like the math in the university.

However, you have to be good at the math of the high school first before doing the math of the university.
