Utility of JH7 for PAF

if i am not mistaken they did and rejected it.
We have rejected almost all jets due to our everlasting love with F Sola.

no no two engine !!

All on service use AL31. One you are talking about is only test platform.
No J-10C have indigenous WS-10 from day 1 all J-10C have WS-10 engine since its production started @HAIDER

J10 is perfect fit, but again it carries Russian AL31 engine. And has no third party export license issued to China.Exact same situation Turkish T129. Even Pakistan engineer helped alot to built this plane and provided Mirage 5 to design this plane.
No, it is a copy of it and prone to failure.

People should be asked before their posts are pulled to this thread. I'm simply going to delete my post.

J16 does not have canards, Su-30 does.

IMHO ... we'll need to come to terms with the reality that the PAF isn't getting any off-the-shelf fighters.

It's JF-17 all the way moving forward. So, in terms of deep-strike and the like, we'll need to think about how the JF-17 could take on those roles.

Payload weight is definitely a constraint, but (with the help of available COTS) I think tailoring a new generation of SOWs around the JF-17 is more tenable than a new fighter at this point.

In this respect, we should be learning from Saab more so than anyone else. @JamD @Oscar

@MastanKhan I would not be talking about intelligence if I were you.

Lay off @araz because he talks more sense than you. He has shared some valid points and instead of addressing them, you are attacking him personally.

What is the TWR of WS-9? What is the TWR of JH-7? It is underpowered for sure. Early copies of Spey engine did have problems and some might still be there. What is wrong with saying this much?

Hi,

Whaaaat---no disrespect---but did you go blind---.

Not a single line in HIS post is his own---all copy paste from wiki---. If this is your level of understanding---then be it so---.

I have already shared my points on the JH7's for over 1/2 a decade---.

PAF believes(rightly or wrongly ) that denying IAF air superiority is its first objective ..jh7 doesn't fit good with that objective
PAF needs at least 300+ such fighters....its struggling to pay for even the jf17..new f16( recently taiwan got 66 for 8b $) are out of question for same reason of inability to pay

The CAD was at 24b$ in July ...(2b$ forced PPPP to IMF)...Fiscal deficit was running around 8% (3trillion rupees)...
Govt is simply out of money

It will thus only stick jf17, used or subsidized f16 & mirage 5/3

There are more chances of a J16 showing up in PAF colors, than JH7.

Hi

With plaaf ready to sell off jh7’s
Paf can get them dirt cheap but possibly no kick backs.

Just remember a 1000 dollar rifle kills the same as a 25000 dollar rifle when the target is in the range
