USSR Collapse: A Crash Course | Documentary

China is socialist capitalism. There are many large state owned companies in China but China also has world's most free market with least regulation.
China is capitalism. Socialism is only the emperor's old cloth. ;)

Norkos are eating grass, but WPK doesn't seem to be loosing power any time soon.

North Korea is largely surviving on Chinese largesse. In the form of heavily subsidized imports of petroleum, coal and grain. Through the 'Agreement upon Economic and Technological Collaboration' signed in the late 90's N.Korea receives half its import of grains, Coal and Petroleum for free. The rest of it at concessional rate @1/3 international commodity prices.

The Norkos may be eating grass but its free Chinese grass

I guess China will continue feeding them grass as long as milk can be squeezed out of them.

The Soviet in the 80s were weak leader. They don't even know the very reason of communist exist. They lose faith in their system and easily manipulate by American.

Ironic, the first communist countries put into turmoil in the 80s was China with tianamen 1989 but China survive the test becos the leader were strong and they know what they want.

All subsequent communist countries especially those in Europe collapse like deck of cards. None emulate the strong willed like China.

Russia today is worst off than Soviet times. Technology, economic, standard of living and military all decline.

If Putin is Soviet leader in the 80s. He will not allowed communist to fall.

I actually think they fell BECAUSE of the outrage over Tiananmen . Seeing tanks outraged people and the Berlin Wall fell 6 months after Tiananmen .

BTW look at the numbers the Russians were throwing around

"On Oct. 4, 1989, reacting to a report by Politburo member Anatoly Lukyanov that deaths at Tiananmen topped 3,000, "
