Yeah, thats what I was thinking but I wanted to post it anyways to get peoples opinions on the matter.

No it's completely true , before it was only IRGC QF that was considered as terrorist now and base on new law American through sanctions act (H.R.3364) has sanctioned it:

This bill directs the President to impose sanctions against: :

(1) Iran's ballistic missile or weapons of mass destruction programs,
(2) the sale or transfer to Iran of military equipment or the provision of related technical or financial assistance.
(3) Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and affiliated foreign persons.​

SEC. 105. Imposition of terrorism-related sanctions with respect to the IRGC.

(1) The IRGC is subject to sanctions pursuant to Executive Order No. 13382 (50 U.S.C. 1701 note; relating to blocking property of weapons of mass destruction delivery system proliferators and their supporters), the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act of 2010 (22 U.S.C. 8501 et seq.), Executive Order No. 13553 (50 U.S.C. 1701 note; relating to blocking property of certain persons with respect to serious human rights abuses by the Government of Iran), and Executive Order No. 13606 (50 U.S.C. 1701 note; relating to blocking the property and suspending entry into the United States of certain persons with respect to grave human rights abuses by the Governments of Iran and Syria via information technology).

(2) The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps–Quds Force (in this section referred to as the “IRGC–QF”) is the primary arm of the Government of Iran for executing its policy of supporting terrorist and insurgent groups. The IRGC–QF provides material, logistical assistance, training, and financial support to militants and terrorist operatives throughout the Middle East and South Asia and was designated for the imposition of sanctions by the Secretary of the Treasury pursuant to Executive Order No. 13224 (50 U.S.C. 1701 note; relating to blocking property and prohibiting transactions with persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism) in October 2007 for its support of terrorism.

(3) The IRGC, not just the IRGC–QF, is responsible for implementing Iran’s international program of destabilizing activities, support for acts of international terrorism, and ballistic missile program.

U.S didn't dare to directly designate the IRGC as a terrorist group, instead (without putting them on the list) applied the same sanctions which were applied to terrorist groups .
practically no difference.

Don't know what to think, seems like a very miscalculated move.

They sanctioned IRGC! If they designate IRGC as terrorists & start attacking IRGC positions then that's when all hell will break loose!

Trump is a stupid person! U.S. behavior under his presidency may actually push Iran towards developing a nuclear weapon!

Iran's response to U.S. sanctions was too weak! $600 Million USD increase in Iran's missile Program is not enough!

Iran needs to make it clear to the IAEA that any more sanctions for any reason will result in the installation of new centrifuges

I think they wait to see if the madman would do it first or not .... but as it seems if even Trump hit under table and get out of deal these people would try to keep the deal alive with rest of 5+1 ... which isn't gonna work ....

The problem with that is NOT the countries involved! All of EU, China, Russia, Japan,... they can all come out behind Iran on a political level but business is business we are still having trouble with large banks & if the U.S. starts sanctioning companies that do business with Iran it really doesn't matter what their political government thinks & there is no assurances a political government can give to individual companies in capitalist countries!

Yes a few companies like Peugeot might not give a dam because they were going bankrupt without Iran & China is just too big for the US to mess with but by the most part Iran will have problems! It won't be as bad as before but still it is not worth dumbing down our own capabilities nuclear & missile technology for!

If it was me I would double the Defense budget, ban the import of any weapon that Iran can produce it's self & start R&D programs with North Korea & I would send a letter to the IAEA & 5+1 that we don't believe Trump is a mentally fit person and that on the next round of sanctions Iran will start installing it's new centrifuges, a round of sanctions after that Iran will disregard any restrictions on enriched uranium stockpile capacity, next round after that Iran will take enrichment to 30%, next round after that IAEA camera's will be removed from all facilities & inspections banned & the next round after that Iran will withdraw from NPT for being a ratified member of that treaty has not brought about any benefits & if the put various sanctions on Iran in one bill we will do all this at once!
