That is a quite stupid question because the military option is always available. We just are reluctant to exercise it. Whether NKR give a 'whatever' about those sanctions or not is not the point. When we do decide to exercise the military option, you will end up with egg foo young on your face just like how the PLA leadership was back in Desert Storm.

It is high time US should update its Foreign policy and add some freedom and peace into the Asia pacific region . You guys unfortunately have already caused a lot of damage in the world as well as to your international image .
Its high time US government should focus on its sluggish economy rather than entering somebody's war and trying to be a hero cause you're not .

Peace and freedom have been in existence in Asia for the last few decades because of US protection. Same for Europe as well.

North Korea is a nuclear power today. And the idea that you can negotiate away North Korea's nuclear weapons is a fallacy. Nothing will stop North Korea to continue its nuclear weapons program short of a military strike. But that would mean war on the Korean peninsula. And i don't think that even the Americans are crazy enough to launch a second Korean War. So John kerry and the Americans can do nothing about it but cry their indignation on the side lines.

Your premise is wrong, north Korea has not demonstrated that it is a nuclear power, nor have they demonstrated that they have a credible nuclear deterrent.

Well, then why is Thailand so close to the United States in the first place?

Personally, I don't think North Korea will be much of a threat either way...but I think I can understand why the West is nervous. What good is having one of the world's largest armies if the populace is starving?
