New York, Oct.6 (ANI): A former Pakistan minister has criticized the Gilani Government for agreeing to the terms and conditions attached with the Kerry-Lugar Bill, saying the United States is trying to ‘defang’ the country and destroy the armed forces.

“People think this government has sold us to the Americans again for their own selfish interests,” The New York Times quoted Jahangir Tareen, as saying.

Tareen said Washington is trying to reduce the Pakistan Army’s capability so that it is unable to counter India’s growing influence in the region.

“Some people think the United States is out to get Pakistan, to defang Pakistan, to destroy the army as it exists so it can’t fight India and to break down the ISI’s ability to influence events in India and Afghanistan,” Tareen said.

The much-awaited Kerry-Lugar Bill, which offers Pakistan 1.5 billion dollars yearly aid over the next five years, has received wide scale flak in the country from various quarters.

Political parties such as the Jamaat-e-Islaami and the Pakistan Muslim League-Q have warned of country wide protests against the proposed aid, which they see as an ‘insult’ to Pakistan’s sovereignty. (ANI)

Before arrival of TTP Pakistan's economy was booming our currency was strong but terrorism caused by US wepons comming in to Pakistan via US embassy in Islamabad and TTP in SAWAT!
American wepons have been used to destroy girls school worth billions of dollars, many public and private properties have been damaged all across the country, precious lives have been lost.... because our requests of drones support were not headed, while we were fighting with TTP.
Now we are done with TTP they cannot destroy us more....so shovel itup from bottom up.
Aid of few hunderd millions does not even cover the pension funds which army has to transfer to the families of martyr soldiers.
On top of that it sounds bill was prepared in by indian parliament.
US is getting habitual for mistreatment of Pakistan, its embassy in Islamabad has been involved in organising meetings of local govt. officers and indian embassy officials.
Indinas and Americans are involved in anti Pakistanism, openly and they have no ashame of what so ever.
What the hell American bill got to do with Pakistans domestic issues ?
We support and trust, Army cheif more than President and Prime minister and hell with any one who have problems with this.
This is no democracy, this is foreign dictator ship whose draft is written by TTP.

Yesterday's interview of TTP leader and draft of this bill seems to have one objective weaken Pak army by denying it access to technology required to protect its civilians and territorial integrity.
