For the ignorants, AQ Khan only supplied designs of obsolete generation nuclear centrifuge. His actions alone are impossible to contribute to nuclear weapons. The american hype is part of WOT propoganda and pressure tactics. The actual players in profilteration ring supplying sensitive parts and technology were european companies. AQ Khan is now being made sacrifical goat.

Homi Bhaba is long dead and Abdul Kalam never ran under table nuclear trade for self profit.

AQ Khan did run trade but he was the small contributor, the large part came from more than willing european businessmen..incase you did not understood the orignal post. Blaming AQ Khan is like blaming the sales man for factory defects in your car!

A logical pointer, Pakistan has thousands of nuclear scientests and atleast hundreds of them contributed to the nuclear weapon programme..why only AQ Khan is being sought and none has been mentioned ever. Seriously if Pakistan was a profiltering country there would have been a list of wanted personal but only having one on top of credit attached to him makes the whole drama very ridiculos.

Im not shy to say that AQ Khan is an international embarassment to US. Today Pakistan is being sidelined from top edge nuclear technology just due to misconduct of this man alone.

Coming back to the topic,AQ Khan illegally sold nuclear technology to rouge states and given his track records,he just could have sold it to the highest bidder,no matter who he is.

There is a difference in acquiring technology for one's own purpose and stealing it from somewhere else,and then proliferating.

AQ Khan basically stole the design for d Zippe-type centrifuge technology to separate the fissile isotope from non-fissile,from the URENCO facility in Netherlands.
He then made the technology available in the black market and made this World a dangerous place to live in.
