US to lift sanctions against Myanmar, praises India's 'counsel'

The intransigence of Myanmar Army regime had created a vacuum which was filled by China and India. But those days are slowly going away now as Myanmar slowly integrates into the world system. I am hoping to see increasing roles from Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and other ASEAN countries working together with Myanmar, to reduce influence of big neighbors and their resource extraction.

India wants to be a superpower. As Nehru said, "India must take its place among the great nations, or vanish quietly into the night." That is why India is engaging in intensive diplomacy around the world and engaging in a massive and unnecessary military buildup, even at the cost of social development.

The rise of India seems very clear now. India has every ambition to dominate South Asia and eventually the entire Indian Ocean basin. India wants to make the Indian Ocean, India's Ocean.

We are not going to block any oil...but we do police IO with US. Now china will join the policing and anti piracy in IO. Just dont irk the US and dont come near our territorial waters. We dont have any red dashes but a well defined territory.

not needed my friend..we are not going to block oil of friendly countries ever..and what i said is for war time.atleast we are not china who bullied other countries in International water,cut cables and buzz other country's warship.

i dont think it works like that, india does have genuine concerns about burma, and wants china to play an active part in a peaceful burma. don't take it as an unnecessary interference in burma, but we are looking at an economic perspective vis a vis burma.
