To be quiet frank Pakistan has always shown to be an unreliable ally. Not just to the US, but to also KSA and China. One must only think of it from a neautral points of view...
The US has provided over 50+BN in aid since Pakistans inception. The US aided and armed the Pakistani military heavily during the soviet invasion of afghanistan. Had such military/economic aid not been provided Pakistan would be worse than Somalia today, yet many Pakistanis rarely acknowledge this. The US alone has provided 50million COVID doses to Pakistan free of charge,US funds were behind the eradication of polio in pakistan... yet majority of pakistanis are still ignorant of this.
The Saudis have time and time again bailed out Pak. They financed our nuke program. Had they not aided and supported us we would have defaulted many many decades ago. Yet our even our PMs are ignorant of this.
The Chinese have sacraficed thousands of lives just to built the K2 highway, many other economic projects over the last few decades. Yet our military is unable to provide them security and a certain section of our population aids our enemy in targeting such projects of national importance.
All these countries above went out of their way to support Pakistan even though Pakistan provides little to no economic benefits and very little strategic benefit in reality, esp not compared to nations that have received a similar level of economic aid such as Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Europe, etc... Sure we are all aware of our geostrategic location, being a stones throw reach within 3bn people, yet we ourselves have never been able to leverage this to our benefit economically.
As a nation and society Pakistan needs some serious introspection of itself. The worse of muslims are hypocrtis. Do we want to continue down the path we have been going or do we want to accept where we went wrong and try to reform.
