US takes back Helicopters deployed for Pak – Afghan border security monitoring

The helicopters were provided as part of the Pakistan Border Security Program that was funded as part of CSF. The return is a routine matter of wrapping up such ongoing programs in an orderly manner, that is all. The 2,500 vehicles and lots of other equipment provided under this program are still there.

The PBSP provided over $65 million dollars of equipment. The helicopters are just a small part of the entire program, and will be put to use elsewhere, due to the great success of Pakistan's military operations to clean up the area successfully.
A very petty move.

I believe those were the helicopters we have seen providing CAS to FC balochistan using the 20mm vulcan cannon. Those helicopters were crucial to ops in balochistan by FC. US taking these birds hampers the CAS capability of FC and will make terrorists more audacious.

Aren't the Pak Army Cobra and Viper gunships better for this role compared to these helicopters?

And then they complain that Pakistan isn't doing enough. How is Pakistan suppose to keep an eye on the border, if you keep crippling their capability to do so?

Still, it gives a good opportunity for Pakistan to further reduce reliance on an unreliable, and increasingly hostile, partner.

I wouldn't be surprised of the US decided to take back the Maxxpros as well, and then complain that Pakistan is taking too long to launch military operations.

This is why a domestic solution is needed. Pakistan should honestly start thinking about JVs with friendly nations, so as to build a domestic industry. The T-129 supply partnership is a good start, but Pakistan needs a proper helicopter industry.
these were operated by us personel and was not part of armed forces

If members have seen a recently posted video of Gen Asad Durrani, he mentions somewhere in the video that whatever aid USA gives, circles back to USA eventually and thats how the USA aid system is made up.

Whatever USA does has to serve US national interests. Clearly. And rightfully so, just like all sovereigns nations do. This fact should not be a revelation to anyone.

We are not aware of the contract, terms and conditions or paper work signed up for these helicopters and their tenure of service.

The PBSP is a US taxpayer funded public program with documentation available from the US side. Whatever terms were agreed upon by the Pakistani side is up to Pakistan to disclose to its public, or not.
