US suspends F-35 sales to Turkey. Now what?

To be honest, we don't really know what's up an down with the pastor case.

I think Turkey would definitely have handed over the pastor if there was a deal. Anyways, Israel's resolute action on letting the Turk go is a clear indication of the strong and unique relationship between the US and Israel.

I think Turkey asked the US for someone else. Someone which the US was unwilling to give to Turkey, therefore the US unilaterally made a deal with Israel about the freed individual while hoping that Turkey would be satisfied with less. As we know, Turkey responded with moving the pastor out of jail and into house arrest - a clear indication of that they were not satisfied.

If they would've, why haven't they make it public.
I mean it surely be better for Turkey to hand the ball back to the U.S than to be stuck with the blame

Do not expect any good things from Trump administration, Turkey should speed up its efforts towards indigenous fighter plan, for short period of time they can use cheap JF17 Block-III with local avionics as defensive aircraft.

I think some comments about Turkey also delaying delivery on F35 is pretty stupid. Here is why. We deliver parts to F35 because we want to be a part of it. Acting like a snotnosed kid won't benefit us at all, contrary it'll just prove that we're not mature enough to be given the responsibility to produce parts of the F35.

Besides, how can we be sure that US doesn't already have a backup plan ready in case we pull a retarded stunt like that.

Our defense companies should act professional and stay committed to deliver as agreed upon. When our own defense companies can pull super sonic missiles out of our own arses, and fly to Mars and back. Then we can act and behave like we want.

But till then we play by the book. Whether US releases the CEO of the bank who was framed, or hands over F.G. is separate issues.
