a soldier is right as long as he/she follows command.
Al-qaeda or taliban can't be compared to an outfit as professional as the US army..for the former lacks the will to stand and fight...and would choose an unarmed civilian target over the US military any day...
they don't even qualify to be spoken of in the same breath as any country's army.
There was a reason for the rullings of the Geneva convention to be followed universally.

A solider is never right if he blindly follow order, the solider has a right to protect those with no weapons, and be their shield - and sword, this is what a solider should do , and if he/she dies so be it he fought with bravery ....

Soldiers are humans too .. when there is no compassion then it becomes a ... dead soul ...

Not necessarily. Governments and military organisations are eventually made out of people. Hitler's SS commanders' excuses that 'the fuhrer told them to do it' did not work at trials time. (example not comparison).

I feel there is actually two kinds of Taliban. The ones that earns money and mostly nuisance to boost numbers and the other more professional force which is the main backbone of Taliban that plans careful attacks.

Dear asq, the Taliban did not fight the Russians (some individual members who later joined taliban may have, like Omar). The Taliban fought those who fought the Russians after warlordism broke out. Perhaps you should do a little reading too.

Not saying that soldiers committed sins, but if someone hired a hitman to to his/her dirty work, the hitman is still the one committing the homicide and thus, still commits a sin.

He should respect your opinion but if he wants he doesn't have to respect your god. not saying he can use any curse wrods what i mean to say is he does have to like bow down and apologise or anything ;D.
