As reservations, quotas, pseudo gallantry, wokism, racial theories etc take center stage meritocracy and elite brains are relegated to back seat. As this trend creeps up and up to the top echelon there is seeming fair play but it is really the race to bottom - we become nominal capitalist and in reality start suffering all the cruelty of socialism and communism...ultimately leading to tyrannical power structures hidden under institutions of democracy.

USA, several European countries and even India are staring at this sliding slope and should revert back to merit based democracy and capitalism.

Otherwise the only way to compete with autocratic systems such as communist china is to ourselves become them. We hoped that capitalistic economics of China will progress their politics also to freedom democracy but Xi Jingping choked that out in the past three years (eg Alibaba etc). Now USA (nad others) must watch out for the socialistic economic systems that are being blindly by a series of US administrations does not end up having the reverse effect in the USA! Similar risk in several states within India as well
