I'd take the calm tones of a state newspaper over a rabble-rouser like Glenn Beck any day.
Glenn Beck doesn't represent state policy either.
Should also state that perhaps the professor believes that the rising and established power will eventually conflict, and views the US UK power transition as an aberration. There are certainly strong arguments for that pov.
Do any of the Chinese posters here view conflict as inevitable? On a related note do you think China will support/tolerate the status quo on Taiwan indefinately?
