Britain US transition was done by the Wall Street regime beating London at its own financial games. Britain lost the war without firing a single bullet.

Military conflict? No, not inevitable.
Economic, political, and cultural conflict? Already been a war for 61 years and counting.

Taiwan? Upper bound of return is probably 2025.
Not like there's anything other countries can do about it. Their WW2 subs/tanks and 60's/70's era planes aren't even half what the Iraqi Army was in 1991. We're solving it peacefully to minimize costs and eliminate pain and suffering, not because we can't.

Conflict is not inevitable or even desirable.

Think about it, the current economic status quo, STRONGLY favours China. So the best thing for us to do is to wait, and build up our capabilities.

Territorial disputes nowadays can be solved through negotiation. Like what happened during the HK handover (negotiation with Britain) or the land transfer from Tajikistan.
