US responsible for the Murder of Pakistani Troops - Pak Rejects NATO Probe

.
That's a very serious accusation.

The Pak military is upping the ante, while the civilians politicians are looking at their checkbooks. All this in the context of memogate and the ongoing tension between the civilian/military sides.

Serious accusation it may be, but it must not have been made lightly. It seems Pakistan is doubling down and going all in. This is a high risk but also high yield strategy. Bold, very bold.

Something big maybe brewing up.

Pakistan is already in state of war on various fronts... i think 'risk' is far out of equation.

Pakistan Army's detailed reply will be significant in the sense that it will set the tone for future cooperation with the US

ISLAMABAD:
As the US seeks to end its missions in Afghanistan, relations between Pakistan and the US appear to be heading for a crash landing.
The army is expected to issue within a week its detailed response to the findings of the US probe into the November 26 Nato airstrikes which killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.
There will almost certainly be several differences in opinion.
Although Pakistan had already rejected the report’s conclusions in its initial responses, the detailed reply will be significant because it will set the tone for future cooperation with the US, a military official said.
“The US investigation report is being analysed and a detailed response will be given within a week,” confirmed the official, who asked not to be named.
Indications are that the army will totally reject the findings as questions are being raised about the impartiality of Brigadier General Stephen Clark, who led the US inquiry. “Brig Clark had commanded the same company which was involved in the Salala incident, so how can he be impartial,” the official asked.
Though the US probe has conceded that Nato must accept the major blame for the attack, it found that Pakistani soldiers fired first at American and Afghan forces.
However, the army said that Pakistan’s position was unambiguous: the November 26 attack was “totally deliberate and Nato was solely responsible.”
Army denies that US briefed Kayani
Meanwhile, the army denied reports that the American military briefed army chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on its investigations.
Pentagon spokesman Captain John Kirby told the media that a report by military investigators was delivered to Gen Kayani on Sunday by a US officer based in Islamabad, who explained the findings in person.
The full report from the joint US-Nato investigative team was not released publicly until Monday, to allow time for the Pakistani leadership to read it first, Kirby said.
“We wanted General Kayani to be able to see the entire thing,” he said, calling the approach “an appropriate professional courtesy” to Kayani.
However, a Pakistani security official told AFP that “no such briefing took place and the report was not handed over in person to the army chief.”
“The report was delivered to the concerned department (at army headquarters) but not to the chief,” the official said.
The disagreement over the facts looks set to be the first of many this week.

Pakistan Army has rejected the report (among other reasons) because the inquiry was done by Colonel Stephen A. Clark who is in the chain of command of team that attacked Pakistan. He is the commander of the 27th Special Operations Wing, Cannon Air Force Base, N.M and is responsible for preparing Air Force Special Operations Forces (SOF) for missions worldwide in support of Army and Navy special operations forces and USAF counterparts.

So how can one expect an impartial inquiry when the accused himself is doing inquiry?

That's what I read in news yesterday and also a couple of days before but I don't see it being discussed here or may be I missed it?

.
IF the ISAF forces KNEW that those were Pakistani troops.. why keep attacking?
Moreover, if a return of fire was necessary.. was it also necessary to respond with maximum force? A bomb for a bullet?

They have gone after individuals and killed every one in person.
It was ground troops which shoot many injured soldiers from point blank distance.

It is clearly about hate... same hate which TTP reflect when they slaughter our soldiers, kill our children and people praying in Mosques.
They are not two separate groups... instead different war fronts against Pakistan.

US govt. have always said that Taliban's are trained, financed by ISI and those are responsible for US soldier deaths.
What else you expect from their soldiers and public in return?

Kerry Lugar bill openly accused Pakistan as a terrorist nation.. so it is not the army alone which is hated by Americans it is the whole nation any one with history of Pakistan any one being born in future... they all are subject to hate.

Questions about checkposts is non-issue......who else can have checkpost across the border?

Those charges are serious indeed. What is the basis for leveling them?

.
Briefing might have been cancelled but the World Largest Embassy is very soon opening(maybe 2013) in Islamabad.. i.e embassy of USA.Thanks to Musharraf and Zordarii! :/(source was Jang newspaper .(GEO GROUP URDU PAPER) few weeks back edition)

Batman:

I have not heard the "Point blank range" thing anywhere. If you know this for a fact than kindly divulge the source otherwise refrain from speculating on this level and with such harsh and damaging accusations.

From what I have read and in my course of discussions with some army offcials, the ISAF/US troops on the ground did not engage at small arms ranges but the ground engagment was at Heavy Machine Gun (HMG) ranges. The damage was done by the Spectre Gunship and the Helos.

Exactly correct.

Such unfair demonization of what is simply not true will only undermine Pakistani credibility, unless proven with evidence, and should be avoided at all costs.

from: Parliamentary body to decide on Nato supply: Malik | Pakistan | DAWN.COM

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday said that the government would take decision regarding Nato supply in light of the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security.

Defence Committee of the Cabinet had decided to stop the Nato supply following the attack on Pakistani checkpost on Pak-Afghan border, the minister informed media after addressing a ceremony.

The ceremony was held to pay tributes to security personnel who embraced martyrdom and suffered disabilities in war against terrorism.

“We have left the matter to the Parliamentary committee, which is led by Senator Raza Rabbani, and the government will implement its recommendations, whatever these will be,” the minister said.

Malik said, as a result of the unmatched sacrifices rendered by our Army, Frontier Corps, Frontier Constabulary and Police in war against terror and the militants have been defeated in Swat and Malakand divisions.

Replying to a question, the minister said he would visit the police-pickets set up at different roads of the capital and assured all the unnecessary check-posts would be removed to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Justifying the police-pickets at the federal capital, Rehman Malik said law enforcement agencies were alerted on daily basis and security is tightened accordingly to avoid any untoward incident.

Commenting on the G-11 firing incident in which an Assistant Sub-Inspector was killed, he said an inquiry has been ordered to probe the episode.

However, the minister was of the view that it could be a result of any personal enmity.

Hehehe..
This Parliamentary body is just a dummy... Its the higher command of PA that is going to decide what happens next...

. .
So the accusation of a "state within a state" is true then?

False flag comments doesn't matter.

What matters is that Gilani and Ghadari being the dummy head of states, while real man behind the curtain is this double agent 'Rehman Malik'.
What drives Rehman Malik's anti Pakistan spirit is... quite a mystery, but i have my guesses though.
