the biggest looser in NATO is European countries they will be more peaceful and better off without US because they have to fight US wars for US's own strategic interests

There can be no peace with Russia invading Euro countries.No Russian invasion of Ukraine,no problem.Russian propaganda can't spin this.Ukraine wanted to join the EU not NATO.

Lybia was a French affair,US was brought in for the ride.Sarkozy had a one track mind on this and he pulled the US and other Euro countries in.

Russia is huffing and puffing to almost all it's European neighbours,from Norway,Sweden,Finland,Denmark,The Baltics,Poland to Ukraine,Moldova,Romania,Georgia.Russia is the problem,not the US.Atleast in Europe.

And as Libya has shown, it works the other way around as well. The US isn't the emperor of NATO decision making, despite the general blather you hear, rather it is 'first among equals'.

Yes the US has alot of influence in NATO, given its position and the circumstances of its creation, but it cannot dictate NATO at will, and if the push is strong enough can be 'dragged' into wars by other members, just as they can be 'dragged' into war by the US

To be honest. This is probably the most mistaken statement anyone could make.

NATO does not exist only to serve US interest, in fact, more occasion then not, NATO country did not actually participate in War that US had initiated, Vietnam War (only French and Australia), Grenada (US), Somalia (US and South Asia), Panama (Only US), Iraq War (without France), that's 5 out of 8 war in the past 50 years started by US.

On the other hand, you can see US sometime also does not interested in war started by other NATO member. War such as Sinai Conflict, Falkland Island that have no US fingerprint at it at all, even tho US have serious interest in Sinai and close proximity with Falkland.

The NATO existed for 1 thing and 1 thing only, that's to response to Russian Aggression. Although there are charter to NATO to require its member to provide at least some sort of resistance in case of other member had involved in any kind of conflict. There had only been invoked once, and that's when US was under 9/11 attack

NATO simply is not a US Stooges. This is a concept most people had mistaken
