Nevertheless, Iran stand no chance against US in a conventional showdown. What remains to be seen is if Iran will be occupied for a certain amount of time, or not. 120,000 troops is a big force in case of US - like a million man army of others.

The real question that nobody is asking; what will happen to the GCC? Are we staring down another "Gulf War"? If that happens; the real losers will be UAE/Qatar/Oman. Saudi not so much. USA further enforces their control on these countries while they try to keep Iran in check.

A chunk of Iranian public is mired in problems from floods and heavy sanctions at present. I get the impression that Trump administration is looking forward to hammer Iranian regime until its collapse and a new group might take charge in its place which will make a deal with Trump administration per its wishes. Perhaps they have noticed a disdain group.
