Lets not bring our internal dirty laundry in a matter which is external in nature. Every nation got these issues. But when dealing with foreign nations and powers, there has to be an element of disdain and arrogance in our dealings.

You might want to sacrifice and put our men in line of danger in the name of "professional courtesy", but some like me take our men , our sons of soil as the defenders of motherland and its interests ONLY. Pakistan army was in Somalia to preserve peace among the Somali nation, not to clean the mess of rednecks and their Rambo attitude.

When soldiers are sitting together they laugh and eat together, when they fight they fight. It is the way of the world. I dont think we can stoop or whould stoop down 5o moral decrepidness just because others do it. This is my view point and if you dont agree so be it.

As for arrogant ones, I will tell you an incident that happened during the battle of Ohad. At the stage when Muslims were at Backfoot and prophet (pbuh) was also cornered and bruised, there was one companion who took the sword of Prophet (pbuh), wore a red bandana, and walked infront of the kaffirs with mighty arrogance. Prophet looking at that said even though Allah hate arrogance but that walk by the companion at that time infront of Kaffirs was the most beloved act by Allah.

Bottom line is, show compassion to those who deserve it, and treat the arrogants with utter disdain.

You’re taking it out of context, what he’s saying is what happened then they had to play their part well and did - thus history applauds that. However, obviously going forward due to current circumstances and situational changes things are going to take a different course based on recent affairs.
