US okays sale of eight GRC43M Cutters worth $350 million to Pakistan.

Pakistan had requested total Eight GRC43M Cutters in 2014.These vessels provide the Pakistan Navy with the capability for medium to long endurance coverage of its 660 miles of coastline.

Each cutter will be a mono hull design made of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP). Also included in this sale are 30mm Naval Gun Systems, .50 calibre machine guns, 7.62mm guns, Rigid Inflatable Boats ballistic armour protection of critical spaces command and control equipment, communication equipment, navigation equipment, support equipment, spare and repair parts tools and test equipment, technical data and publications, personnel training, US government and contractor engineering technical and logistics support services and other related elements of logistics and programme support.

It very much seems like that there will not be any delivery of those GRC43M cutters to Pakistan.

Back in March 2015, the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs froze $150 million in foreign military financing and put a hold on the delivery of a number of used U.S. Navy cutter vessels since they were not deemed essential in fighting militants in Pakistan.
