What's new

US Navy's new warship, USS Zumwalt, can prepare for battle on its own: report

They aren't shotguns. One shoots 9 MM, one shoots .40 cal. and the other is .45 cal.

I disagree sir, could you try convincing me? I honestly don't believe the foreign policy displayed by us in the Middle East is a genuine U.S foreign policy based on American ideals and values. I actually believe it's a policy aimed at advancing Israeli/Jewish interests in the region and I could support that.

We do what's best for us. If you're not convinced, I don't know what to tell you.

It's all empty statements, if you can't explain it then you can't justify it.

So it's 'empty statements' and I can't 'justify' it. Me and my Jewish cabal friends don't care. We REALLY don't. We just go on ruling the world. Someone has to do it, may as well be us. Why would we give up the 'top dog' position because people on the bottom are bitching ? If the 'Palestinians' were the worlds per-eminant superpower, do you really think they'd be so understanding and willing to do 'what's right' ?

So now you're making a mockery out of a serious question. Why can't we actually discuss this?

No 'mockery'. Really, all stripped down without any bullshit, that's the way it is. And the U.S. had to choose between Israel and the Arabs. We chose Israel. That's just the way it is. Like I said before, I don't know why the U.S. sided with Pakistan over India, but we did. We make choices every day and there is ALWAYS someone who doesn't like it. Can't please everyone, all the time.

The US is allies with most Arabs, I still don't understand what inspires our foreign policy overseas.

The United States , as a global hyper power and as one that has complex assymetrical interests abroad, needs to balance its working relationship with a plethora of Middle Eastern states. Israel is not the sole priority of our geopolitical maneuverings in the Middle East. The United States has strategic partnerships with Gulf states, in particular the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. Not to mention Iraq.

Bahrain is home to a large contingent of the US 5th Fleet. And KSA is also home to a large number of our military personnel, which collaborates with Saudi Armed Forces in joint operations in around the Arabian peninsula.

The safety and stability is critical to our middle east foreign policy. This is why Egypt's peace accord with Israel is imperative. This is why Jordan and Israel remain cordial. Saudi Arabia, tho does not have official relations with Israel is cooperative with Tel-Aviv through US postures.

The United States does not operate in a black or white rapport when it comes to the Middle East. Each piece has to be accorded for in its own way.

@boomslang ,

You make key points. This illustrates the ever changing environment that is geopolitics. In my opinion, however, i wouldn't write off the relationship between Pakistan and the United States as irreparable. The current status represents differences in geopolitical calculus; however, this may change in the near or distant future.

No joke for the Chinese members here. Feng Shui will dominate how the PLA will conduct warfare, on land, sea, and air. May be even how PLAAF bases plan their runway layouts based upon priestly divination rather than wind pattern. Who knows how PLAN fleets will array themselves. :lol:
