i am against same sex marriage for personal reasons


men and women in their uniforms should not be seen engaging in this type of behaviour.....it's UNPROFESSIONAL. Thank God it isn't an Armed Forces that represents my country, because I would be very upset by this.

What are your personal reasons?

German army has recently accepted homosexuality and the whole army has benefitted as people don't have to lead a double life and give 100 % of their energy to fullfil their duty in the army. Happy soldiers are good soldiers.

BTW, have you read about Alexander the Great's elite unit?

If you already trusted your life to a 'homo', whether you like it or not and whether you wanted it or not, then a simple PDA kiss is minor. No different that if a 'hetero' couple does it. For now, it will make news headlines, but soon enough it will become routine at every coming home.

Clearly a publicity stunt by the USN. Regardless of orientation, I do agree with Abu Zolfiqar that such public display of affection while in uniform is unprofessional.

I am actually surprised why this is consider "news" as all major newspapers reported it. Why American made so much out of nothing. I mean if Americans treat homosexual couples as normal couples then this should not be in news as i never seen kissing of straight couples ever published in newspaper

secondly i have question for Indians here who enjoyed this scene and consider nothing wrong with homosexuality

will you guys accept and give this right to your sister/brother if she/he want to be lesbian/gay? Let me see how honest/open minded you are in giving answer of this question

I agree, its not even a news
what these two ladies did was their personal affair, indeed the display was in public but still it should've been left at that place
maybe the Navy wanted to show this as a departure from the well known "Dont ask Dont tell" rule.

I personally have no opinion about this picture, even if it were two men or a a man and a woman.
the thread has been dragged into unnecessary mud slinging, insulting and ranting which was mostly pointless and off-topic.

some found it ok, some found it repulsive some had no opinion like myself. I guess we leave it at this point as I dont see any more value from "discssing" any further about a kiss between two individuals.
