US military trainers trickle back into Pakistan

Very interesting -- Pakistan officially denies that there are any US trainers in Pakistan --- US policy makers need to get even more tough with Pakistan

Care to elaborate why you want the US Policy makers to get even more tough with Pakistan ?

Maybe if you could be less ignorant, and look at the facts, these trainers are said to be in Peshawar training FC (Frontier Corps) in COIN ops. And last I checked, FC is not army.

In the past, there had been some 200 to 300 US military personnel stationed in Pakistan, many of them training Pakistan special forces to confront militants.

You just admitted it yourself that American troops have trained Pakistan's Special Forces according to the report!! (And probably will in future too!) Are the SF part of the Frontier Corps or the regular army? Obviously the latter!

Either YOU are ignorant yourself or copy/pasted the report without reading it fully! Because if you had, you would've cleverly erased this portion marked in red above in order to strengthen your argument!! Therefore, I stand vindicated when I mentioned that American troops do train the PA too!

The ones in question right now, the report that they are in Peshawar are for the FC< NOT Army. And I only said that the current rumor that they have come back to Peshawar were for FC not army. And that rumor has turned out to be wrong, there are only 2 Liaison officers currently there, no more.

And yes, American troops do train SSG and Army units, but the ones in question right now were for the FC, not army.

They have trained SSG in the past, but the ones that this thread mentions is for the FC, again, you made an A** out of yourself, so kindly erase that smiley!

BTW, this rumor was also false as I have already said. No trainers have come to pakistan.
