US May Forget About Air Supremacy With F-35: Future Belongs to Russian Jets

No facts about russian supremacy in the sky. They only plan and wont to create something great. And one fact does not depend on our attitude towards americans: we can hate them but their military hardware is really worth the best marks.

The Russians are working on MIG 41 earlier showed as 1.44 tech demonstrator and that will give tough fight to F35 though this will take time of 2-3 yrs as Russia is at present short of funds with economy under pressure

But F 35 has some very new innovative technology so its going to be interesting battle
thing is what russians or frenchies have achived in AESA tech now US had them atleast a decade back and what it has now both russians and frenchies will come to that standard atleast a decade later

american have tested so many new techs on F35 alone that the cost of there new stealth fighter bomber must have halved even F-22 has so many hidden gems that none of the flying or prototype 5th gen fighters have right now so no one can challence USAF on air supremacy for at least a decade if not more until or unless someone comes with a wonder tech :coffee:

if that would have been true then Russian might not waste billions of dollars on Pak-Fa

Don't be fooled by the sounds of champagne corks popping, there is nothing to celebrate about the newest F-35 stealth warplane whom defense analyst David Axe calls a "second-rate" fighter "seriously outclassed by even older Russian and Chinese jets" let alone cutting edge aircraft.

The Pentagon's darling has recently received some positive coverage. Defense contractor Lockheed Martin managed to reduce production and operation costs of the highly controversial and grossly overpriced project. The F-35 also performed better at tests.

Good new, right? Not really. Axe is convinced that this does not matter because the aircraft is flawed at its core.

"The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter – a do-it-all strike jet being designed by Lockheed Martin to evade enemy radars, bomb ground targets and shoot down rival fighters – is as troubled as ever. Any recent tidbits of apparent good news can't alter a fundamental flaw in the plane's design with roots going back decades," the expert asserted.

The main issue with this particular piece of military hardware is that it "is a second-rate fighter where it actually matters – in the air, in life-or-death combat against a determined foe."

The Pentagon is quite aware of this. A 2008 computer simulation conducted by two analysts at the RAND think tank unveiled the F-35's inferiority. It was one of the first wake-up calls the Defense Department should have listened to but preferred to ignore.

The RAND analysis showed that the F-35 is doomed when it comes to actual fighting when avoiding detection is no longer an option. Regardless of whether the simulation was 100-percent accurate or not, it exposed a serious flaw which had to be taken seriously.

After all, the F-35 is the future of the US military aircraft fleet. It is meant to replace an array of other planes, including the F-16 and the A-10. And this is where the F-35's main flaw lies: to do this the new fighter had to be extremely versatile which inevitably led to a series of painful design compromises.

As a result, "the jack-of-all-trades [F-35] has become the master of none," Axe pointed out, adding that the jet "is neither as quick as an F-16 nor as toughly constructed as an A-10."

Than COme and partner with us in AMCA. You will get a 5th Gen plane at a very low cost.

But Guru bhai Russia is feeling resources crunch at the moment they will certainly give run for money to f 35 if china or India part finance the project MIG 41 as its going to be the fastest jet on earth at speed of 4 mach at around half of the cost of f35. But no doubt US at present is cruising ahead with support from many partner countries

No dear Russians are nor far behind in technology, they are behind in chips and semiconductor tech for which they are dependent on west and US. Rest they will surely make a fighter half at the cost of F 35 and quiet capable too

just look it from commercial chip design angle USA is far far ahead of any nation on earth with respect to R&D and manufactring and marketing infra

no matter how many mobiles china makes but they all use "made in USA" master chip and what USA offers in commercial market is way much primitive to what they use on there USA specific militarry hardware

can russia or france beat that :azn:

when it comes to cutting edge electronik hardware USA is still miles ahead of any nation on earth and that can be seen/judged by the leathality of there Radars, EW suites or wepons

russia is no dought getting very competitive but alas USA still holds the "trump cards"
