Let the actions speak loudly. The US embargo on US companies for using isro rocket for launching satellites are the new development, its just happened after javelin event.

Or u try to purchase some night vision googles for special mission ops from US(just a simple purchase not TOT) answer will be a big no.

The ISRO thing was an economic decision. The US wants us to sign an agreement for space cooperation that fixes prices and launch rates in order to access their market. But all the deals we have been signing now have prior approval on case by case basis, so our business is not affected. You will have to look it up for more information. It's part of a trade deal.

As for military tech, we will have to wait and watch. For now, they have approved a lot of tech, now we have to sign actual JV agreements. All this takes time. The US has been pressing India to co-develop the Javelin replacement for both the US and India.

And you believes that us will help us mastering in engine tech at the cost of losing possible future businesses? We have seen what type of tech assistance us can give in Israels cases. They funded tech asiisted them in developing like arrow missile defence system, but banned Israelis from selling to other countries.

The US will not help us mastering engine tech, GTRE and HAL will. What we need is know-how and manufacturing tech for current technology. The US can provide that. Nobody is expecting them to transfer F-135 or ADVENT tech, we want what they have developed for the F414. As far as the US is concerned, the F414 is a very old engine with very old technologies.

The reason why we need current tech is because we want to use them on our ongoing programs, LCA, AMCA etc. For the future, we will have our own programs, for which we have already started R&D. But it will take at least 10 to 20 years for the R&D to bear fruit, until then we can't keep twiddling our thumbs.

The Indian BMD is based on tech from the Arrow program, particularly the radar that the US helped develop, so don't give me that. We didn't have any sort of technology sharing agreement with the US at the time, so it was obvious the US denied direct transfer of missiles, but allowed the transfer of the Greenpine radar. On two occasions they turned a blind eye to proliferation, that's when the Phalcon deal was signed and the Swordfish radar was made. Both are based on American tech. The US did not approve the Arrow-2 sale citing MTCR.

Plus, I'm not expecting much tech help from the US on existing programs, I'm looking forward to programs that will be built through the DTTI. For example, if we go for the F-16, the engine ToT will be limited, but if we sign a JV for the F414 engine for the AMCA program through DTTI, they will agree to provide far more tech because it comes under a very different policy compared to the F-16 MII.

Everything works on the basis of Supply and Demand.

The US has no need to transfer Engine tech of any generation to India, so they will not do it. Its all smoke and mirrors with the US.
