US lauds India’s support on Iran sanction(US:India supportive on sanctions)

Why do you choose to ignore what your former diplomat and Ambassador has stated in post 11 on this thread.

has anything come out of iran yet? y cant u just wait and see what they say abt this rather than making conclusions that give u satisfactions that iran is still with pak more than india. just chill dude. we have our policy and we play our cards very wisely unlike pakistan.

Why do you choose to ignore what your former diplomat and Ambassador has stated in post 11 on this thread.
One is the lengthy article featured by America’s prestigious flag-carrier Foreign Affairs magazine in early December titled “China’s Pakistan conundrum”. Its argument is: ‘China will not simply bail out Pakistan with loans, investment, and aid, as those watching the deterioration of US-Pakistani relations seem to expect. China will pursue politics, security, and geopolitical advantage regardless of Islamabad’s preferences’. It puts forth the invidious argument that China’s real use for Pakistan is only to “box out New Delhi in Afghanistan and the broader region.”
Tell me that you agree with this and then I'll debunk the rest of it.

.
Again, you show your lack of credible thinking capability.
The ground situation on Afghanistan is grim and they know it. That's why they are desperately trying all possible solutions to the problem. And trust me India is a part of it.
And who the heck is telling you guys that we are dumping Iran and going with US sanctions. Infact we
are building a railway line to connect <someplace in Iran> to Afghanistan right now.

Once again you have proved that you have no manners whatsoever... Once again poor rants from your side and thats it, nothing logical and constructive...

Where did I say India have no part to play? Can you read between the lines? Don't assumes things at your own. It has a part or doesn't have part is totally irreverent to what I put up there.

My point is very simple - Why would you sacrifice your own interests? India supporting US on Iran sanctions means what to you?

US asking you for support on sactions itself speaks volume, if you could understand what I mean.

Now please anything but not stupid attitude...

we r supporting sanctions of us on iran. but we will do it in a way that trade will not be compromised and us will be happy. dw sab theek hai. aap zaida tension naa liya karo.

.
what do you expect from usa? simply they want India in their corner ,a regional country which has good relations with Iran and has significant trade ties if get out of the equations things from usa point of view gets easier for their future plans and India is doing good in playing along .:frown: and these statements were general to many countries including Turkey,China,Russia...

i dont know why people want to convert this thread to something else

Smart han!! US ke saath chalakiyan.. I am not taking any tension, in fact why would I. I am just curious why would a friend ditch a friend for another friend.. Han next time you may not be able to say "we don't bow before US" you know favorite line when it comes to PAK_US relations?

i will only say we bowed infront of us if india reduces oil from iran and cancels chahbar port's billions of investments and rail line from afghan to iran. i am again reminding u that the 80 memeber indian team didnt go to iran for honeymoon. iran hasnt come out with a statement yet about india supporting us. that means iran knows already and everything is going according to plan. trade will be boosted, sanctions will be passed to make us happy. the more sanctions iran gets more stronger it becomes and more easy oil we get from them. because if iran is cut from the west, the world oil economy will be shaken and iran will be ready to sell more and cheap to india and china.

I said that US will make exceptions for India based on the role India has to play in Afghanistan which is important for them and the central importance Iran holds to it.
You then say that US cares only about it's own interests. You also say that India is sacrificing it's interests for the U.S whereas there is absolutely no proof to suggest that and you still keep going on with the ranting.
As far as asking India for it's support, well it's customary to ask each and every country for it's support and putiing pressure is allowed, till a certain limit, which they will surely not cross.
Phewwww
Now it all depends if you have been updated with the Current affairs across the Globe from the last......5 years or so.

Hahahah.. Wait, hahahha..

You and you logic are as funny as Mr Bean.. Don't forget there are other players as well. lol

I have left the hope to see a relevant answer from your side.. Just forget it

@Karan.... Mate, time would decide..

Tell me that you agree with this and then I'll debunk the rest of it.

Greatone It does get tedious trying to explain to someone whose comprehension skills appear to be limited.

Look mate the gist off the article is that since 90's the powers to be in India have decided to throw their lot in with America and are prepared to play second fiddle to America in a uni polar world. He is critical of Indian govt sticking to this outmoded strategy which he says is no longer valid.

You choose a paragraph out of a lengthy article and ask me if I agree with it. Do you even know the purpose of that paragraph? Here it is:

One is the lengthy article featured by America’s prestigious flag-carrier Foreign Affairs magazine in early December titled “China’s Pakistan conundrum”. Its argument is: ‘China will not simply bail out Pakistan with loans, investment, and aid, as those watching the deterioration of US-Pakistani relations seem to expect. It puts forth the invidious argument that China’s real use for Pakistan is only to “box out New Delhi in Afghanistan and the broader region.”

Your former ambassador is stating that an American funded magazine with bias to America puts forward an invidious argument. Invidious in this context means "with envy"

The former Indian diplomat then debunks this paragraph and states that Pakistan has never accepted this uni polar world that Indians accepted and that is why the ire with Pakistan as far as Americans are concerned.

No one is suggesting that India will cut ties with Iran over night. The point is if push comes to shove India has to choose America. This could well happen as Americans push against Iran.

This is not my analysis. It is the analysis of an Indian diplomat and former Ambassador to Russia

Never mind.
The people who are of importance here [American & Indian think tanks{not us}] are well aware of the ground realities and I trust them to make the correct decisions, unlike you people who think they know everything but whose total knowledge on this issue is zilch.
Btw just one last parting gift
Don't forget there are other players as wel
LOL That is exactly why then need us, dimwit.

For my Iranian brothers please try to read the article below. It exposes Indians for what they really are. It is not a short term policy for them to be proxy of America but long term. Does America allow Pakistan or Iran to have several consulates in Afghanistan even though we have borders?? No but they do to India. Simply Indians are a timid and subservient lot who are scared of China attacking them and they want to bend for Americans and Israelis so they will get support against China because border issues not resolved. Also when we had Kargill problem the Israelis assisted them

Wow, Iranians really should take a look at this article.

.
India has maintained that it will support UN sanctions, what is new about this? India does not support unilateral/NATO sanctions that will invariably come in the way of our relations with Iran.

.
Iran is important to India's presence in Afghanistan and sooner or later the US will accept this fact and move on.

That is another flawed policy of India. Indians need to realise that they are being used as a proxy and they have no border with Afghanistan. Their benefactor that is America wants Indians to play a part in Afghanistan at the same time America wants Iran and Pakistan which do have a border with Afghanistan to have no influence in Afghanistan.

But in a way this is already plan B it was first postulated in 2004 and debunked as unworkable. However as America is running out of options in Afghanistan it is supporting this reluctantly.

The reason Americans are unhappy with Pakistanis is that Pakistan will not facilitate this by providing routes etc to India without it's pound of flesh.

Again, you show your lack of credible thinking capability.
The ground situation on Afghanistan is grim and they know it. That's why they are desperately trying all possible solutions to the problem. And trust me India is a part of it.

If Americans are desperate and cant do squat in Afghanistan how are Americans going to facilitate an Indian presence. lol

Not surprising the poster didn't provide source of the article.
