Ameer Jamaat-i-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan has said that the terrorist activity in Islamabad on Monday, after Taliban's cease-fire announced, was cleared evidence that the anti-state forces had actively resurfaced and were bent upon sabotaging every effort for normalcy in the country.
In a statement from Makkah on Monday, he said that a few months back, Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud was targeted in a drone attack after he made an offer for dialogue and the talks were thus sabotage. Similarly, after Taliban's announcement for a month long cease-fire to pave way for dialogue, the enemies of peace had become active once again and the federal capital was given a blood bath.
He said that in spite of Taliban's statement denying their hand in the incident, the conspirators were trying their level best to put the blame on the Taliban. He said it was crystal cleared by now that the US and Indian lobby and India's RAW, CIA and Black Water were involved in the current spate of terrorism in the country.
He said that the security institutions and agencies would have to be on high alert at this crucial stage because the enemy could not tolerate the resumption of peace talks and would adopt every method to sabotage the peace efforts. The JI chief said that in spite of Taliban's explanation that in their view, the violation of the cease-fire would be an act against the Shariah, the statement by the Leader of the Opposition expressing doubts about the Taliban was unjustified.
He said it was the government's responsibility to expose the real forces behind the current terrorist activities and trace the culprits and weed them out. He warned that if the enemy was successful in its unholy designs at this stage, the country would go deep into the mire of lawlessness and terrorism and peace would become a distant dream. Munawar prayed for the learned judge, the lawyers and others falling victim to the terrorist activity and expressed his condolences with the bereaved families, and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.
