No Idea about that But numerous high ranking american officials state ISI is responsible for killing of american soldiers in Afghanistan . This would be one of the rare instances where I would say its ok because they have been doing these drone strikes in tribal belts and killing people .

Pakistani politicians don't control Pakistan's military.

I don't think that's it. Rather, everyone remembers what happened to Taseer and how his murderer was honored by the populace. Pakistani politicians can do nothing for you if they keep getting assassinated. So they will continue to appease the militants publicly, whether they egg on the Pakistan and U.S. militaries privately or not.

The argument that the U.S. is trampling Pakistan's sovereignty is a thin one. UNSCR 1373 nulls Pakistan's sovereignty with regards to attacks against terrorists in areas not controlled by the state. N. Wazirstan got pounded plenty but Baluchistan has been a no-drone strike zone for years, despite the barely-kept secret that the Al-Q/Taliban leadership operates from Quetta. The only reasonable explanation for this is that Pakistan wanted it that way and the U.S. complied.
It's been clear for some weeks now that talks were at a standstill because the Taliban leadership wasn't budging as long as Pakistan declared it was against its policy to have its own military act against the Afghan Taliban. Yet last week saw the first public acknowledgement that I recall of ISI participation in anti-terror raids [link].
Obama has said U.S. approach remains unchanged, so what is happening is change on the Pakistani side: permission to strike in Baluchustan. The U.S. gets the blame. Pakistan probably gets increased control over Taliban matters. I wonder how far the changes will go?

Starting from Musharaf, pak leadership are hand in gloves with US, in bombing tribal areas. Pathan civilian death is worth it, if it provides 10 % chance of killing some terrorists. Its cheap for americans(and PA too) but deadly for civilians.
If pak leadership(army and civilian) really want, they can flood the whole world with pictures of whats going on in drone strikes. Most people in the world will support pakistan in this. They can bring the topic in UN for discussion, again and again. Most pakistani bother more about palestine than people on western border, so its not only leaders.

What have those pictures done in Syria? or Iraq of Libya for that matter?

And we all know what happened with that refugee situation. Plus it was like treating the symptoms not the disease to begin with.

No! If our armed forces can't do their job of protecting our sovereignty then might as well hand over Pakistan to the Americans. Also how exactly has these drone strikes helped Pakistan? Which Pakistan was safer PRE or POST 2006?
