Qari Zia Rahman operates from Nuristan & Kunar, Afghanistan & conducts terrorist attacks & operations in Bajaur & Mohmand Agencies, Pakistan. Similarly, there have been Afghan terrorists that have operated from Khost, Afghanistan & infiltrated into North Waziristan, Pakistan.

Is he being given a free pass by the NATO forces to operate from Afghanistan into Pakistan?

And today's news:

BBC News - Afghanistan: Hundreds escape from Kandahar prison

470 Taliban somehow just 'escape' from a Kandahar jail, no doubt to create trouble in Pakistan's Balochistan province, probably targeting the Quetta Shoora in Balochistan, as the Americans see that as their biggest threat. Wouldn't be surprised of some attacks taking place in Balochistan in the coming days, considering how a huge number of the Taliban somehow just 'escaped', & the porous border between Kandahar & Balochistan.

Did you forget what brought the United States and NATO forces in to Afghanistan. Were there not series of attacks on Americans all over the world before we were hit at home on 9/11? Was that not the final nail in the coffin that prompted US to target the Taliban who were forcefully occupying Afghanistan for their evil motives and refused to give up the planners of 9/11?

Taliban and Al-Qaida are open enemies of the United States. They have hit our interests whenever they get a chance. No terrorist is given a free pass by either the United States or NATO forces to cross over either side of the border to create mayhem. Anyone who even little knowledge of the region will know the porous nature of the border it is difficult to even monitor the treacherous terrain. The people of that area move around at will for centuries. Qari Zia Rehman is a Taliban and Al-Qaida leader who operates in Pakistan’s tribal agency as well in Afghanistan’s Nuristan & Kunar provinces. He has managed to evade capture and attacks on him by both Pakistani & NATO forces. We seem to focus on Taliban who somehow escape and evade our attacks but fail to mention thousands who have been killed by the NATO and Pakistani forces.

By now it should be clear to the readers of this forum that United States interest is the elimination of the threat from these extremists to both Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as our own country. They came to protect their people from Al-Qaida and Taliban terror and soon with the help of people of Pakistan and Afghanistan who have suffered more. The notion that continued violence and instability in the region somehow serves some secret interest on our part is absurd – it should be obvious by now that we have no desire to keep forces in the region a day longer than necessary. It is time now to say enough and stop the ruthless terrorists.

Why would the Afghan Taliban attack the Quetta Shura which is nothing but a conglomerate of Afghan Taliban (and some TTP) leaders who themselves are responsible for the attacks in Afg ?

Doesnt make sense.

Because there is no one such thing as the Taliban? They are all competing rival factions. Anyways, that theory in my first post is just my opinion, nothing else.

America wants everyone to relate to Pakistan as a terrorist state, so of course they're gonna do what they can to give it a bad name like they're doing now. Although I think the Pakistani government isn't really doing the country any justice by it's somewhat poor rule over the country!

Just some questions. How exactly have the Taliban hit US interests whenever they got a chance? Have they ever done so before the US invasion of Afghanistan? What qualifies them as terrorists?

Regarding the topic, that's the first thought that came to my mind after hearing about the prison escape and the border clash with Pakistani soldiers. At this point, I don't give it any credence, there's a lack of evidence, and I would be jumping to conclusions without any facts if I espoused that theory.
