US Congress committee approves China sanctions bill

.
 what is china's inflation rate now?? and what is the average rate it used to be.. and what is the maximum and minimum rate... can you give me your statics because based on your argument i dont find any info... I havent gone throuch much of data on china's economy as you know people will be interested on there own country's economy... but if china did right then why is US accusing?? if you say US accusing is not right then every country can do the same right??... but this will ultimately the break the economy model of trading.. which is considered as robust with some flaws.. if this fail and it will lead to another world war for sure..

Please post your stats.. based on your argument

Here's Chinese inflation data in the past ten years

Year Inflation rate (consumer prices) (%)
2000 -1.3
2001 0.4
2002 -0.8
2003 -0.8
2004 1.2
2005 4.1
2006 1.8
2007 1.5
2008 4.8
2009 5.9

China - Inflation rate (consumer prices) - Historical Data Graphs per Year

As you can see we have a major inflation problem in the last two years. And it's continuing to the present days.

The U.S is making a huge fuss over the exchange rate because of China's trade surpluses with America. If you read August trade data you'll see why
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/11/business/global/11iht-yuan.html

China had a $20 billion trade surpluses in August, $18 billion (90%) of which was with the U.S. China has more or less a trade balance with rest of the world. But for some reason instead of reflecting on why its own exports can not compete like rest of the world can, U.S decide to blame China.

. .
Some think China is devalueing their currency up to 40 percent. Lot of countries are being hurt by by China's cheap exports.

Group of 20 will meet in Seoul, Nov 11 am sure it will come up there.

Sorry to disappoint you, unlike the U.S, rest of the world enjoys more or less balanced trade with China. They may make some noises under the U.S pressure, but don't expect anything beyond vocal supports.

o i c... i am sorry dude .... currently why china is devaluating its currency because it has got huge dollars in its belly... so you printing money doesnt has got to do with this.... printing money do cause inflation and depreciation to some extent devaluation(need to check IMF policies)... but as of now china has got $$$ to decide the authority... now i understand why US is crying...

so naturally it is the US interest to formulate its policy to safe guard its interest...

Forgot to add... your increasing inflation is because of devaluation only...

What can one do when every major brand has a Made in China stamp to it. Most of the time people are buying what they needs or the brand they perfer with absolute disregards to where it is made in. If I am buying a nokia cell I am most intrested in its features and quality and absolutely zero in where it is made. The actual reason of trade imbalace with America is because:

1. Americans do not make much which intrests chinese.
2. the largest trade potential is self sanctioned by USA itself and now they cry foul about Chinese manipulation.
3. A lot of american manufacturing is now outsourced to China because the lazy americans dont want to work. And the business man wants to turn a profit.

We wont sell you want you want but we can cry all about currency manipulations. The Yuan can be floated by China it wont make much difference to the deficit because america simply has no industrial base to produce. On the other hand the Chinese manufacturers will simply become more expensive but still remain cheaper than US so not helping them much here in international exports.

Actually the US wanted China to use its dollar reserves for financing the american debt hoping fast economic recovery. The chinese are not fool to keep buying that scrap piece of recycled paper with numbers printed on it. SO the Chinese are on spending spree investing their dollar reserves in world wide infrastructure development project. Which will benefit China even more in the long term while permenantly eroding america's brand name in those countries. A classic cold war trick soviet union and america used against each other during the cold war. But the chinese have taken it to whole new level. They have milked the competitor cow dry before starting to distribute that milk for free in "Made in China" cartoons. Its truely an ingenious form of economic warfare.

heee heee.. if there is trade deficit and if china reevaluates its money... china is going to have some loss... they will try there level best to devaluate it...

but if china pursues this policy it is going to bring instability in financial market... and we can go even to an extent to say that china will responsible for 3 rd world war in case if US defaults :D

Trolling is abusive behavior. A troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off topic messages on forums to elicit emotional reponses and disrupting otherwise normal discussions.

I have noticed that you have kept on posting China bashing remarks on a number of topics so you can offend Chinese people.

To be honest I think a higher Yuan would actually be good for China.

It will not likely to undermine Chinese competitiveness, just witness what happened in June when China announced Yuan floating, almost all other Asian currencies jumped after the news. So a higher Yuan will likely mean higher other Asian currencies as well. The same is actually also true for Chinese labor costs, after companies in China lifted up their pays widespread labor unrests swiped South East Asia demanding (and getting) higher pays.

Of course higher Chinese currency will also means cheaper raw materials imports for Chinese companies. China is headed into a urbanization process unheard of in human history, cheaper raw materials will significantly reduce the infrastructure costs.

The one sector that will definitely lose out is China's own resources sector, but then again given the safety record of Chinese mining industry I'm not sure closing down small mines would be that bad of an idea. Closing down those industries will also help China's environment. On the other hand stronger Yuan will mean cheaper oil thus will put pressure on China's renewable energy sector.

The biggest concern Chinese government has with a higher Yuan is probably hot money inflows, which could potentially push an already high property market further upward and creates significant social instability. I think a ten percent one-off reevaluation combined with a 3% annual rises over the next 4-5 years would be a good compromise.

Oh, I'll also add any agreement China made with U.S re currency will have to tie to a U.S promise to allow more Chinese investment into America, currency account balance between China and the U.S is impossible unless Chinese investment into the U.S rises to the similar level as U.S investment into China.

I wonder
If US will put sanctions on China then what will they sell in
