Let's put this way, if US is willing to give up its veto power in UNSC, but unlikely as you can see how US all out it's way wants to retain its sole dominant veto power in IMF and World Bank, then China I think will be willing to give up it's veto power in UNSC. Also, are UK, France and Russia willing to give up their veto powers too ? If one doesn't agree, then it's difficult to abolish, maybe US can persuade UK and France to do so if US itself wants to abolish, so I would say US is the key on the issue. Other point to consider is after abolishing the veto power system of UNSC, will the world be more secure and better prepared to avoid and contain wars esp big wars. In short, China will not block UN from abolishing the veto power system and replacing it with some better mechanism in UN.Solution is in to abolish VETO power.
Will China call for abolishing VETO power in the United Nations (UN) ???
