Here is what we know about Sam's views on Pak: Sam is not happy with Pakistan's nuclear program. Their president just said it himself in very clear and in very undiplomatic and frankly insulting terms .

Question is why is the khujlee? Other non-permanent UN security council members have the bomb - countries such as Israel and Hindia. But Sam is not bothered by their program. And Pakistan, unlike Hindia, supported Sam during the cold war. Nor did Pakistan introduce nuclear weapons in the sub-continent and neither does Pak have the capability of hurling weapons into mainland United States.

So what is it about Pak's program that triggers the Americans? Some may say "Islamic fundamentalism" but Islamic parties have only enjoyed miniscule popular support in Pakistan. This is in comparison to India where even secular Bhartis believe in Bharat-mata and Bharat-mata is incomplete without Pakistan. And it is this dangerous ideology which is responsible for introducing nuclear weapons in the sub-continent. Faced with such a crazy enemy which is 7-8x bigger and possesses nuclear weapons, does Sam really think that Pakistan will not use nuclear deterrence. The fact that ghaddar khoony liberals and corrupt media groups like Jang/Geo oppose nuclear weapons gives a good indication of why nuclear program is a must for Pakistan

My answer is Islam does play a part of in American dislike of Pak nuclear program but it is the "rational" version of Islam that is represented in Pak that bothers the goras. Leaders may be pro-goras but awam is believer in ummah as illustrated by advocacy of Filisteen cause. Arab leaders have made peace against wishes of awam but no leader would do so in Pakistan. Goras are used to controlling Islamic world and cannot allow another country to show an alternate path. Throw China in the picture and Sam goes to DEFCON 1.

So gora answer? They weaponize debt and cause political instability in Pak by backing tutoos like corrupt khusra combine of Zardari/Bilawal and out and out corrupt and beysharam namak haramis like Sharif brothers and Altaf bhai. All this happens in plain sight and has been enabled by great Khan who now is fighting the monster he himself created.
