There was a time when Delhi police could very well be tagged as the worst police force in India. And then came Kiran Bedi.

Can't say much about Indian police force as a whole, but yeah... India has definitely produced some of the best cops in the world. KPS Gill, Sachin Waze and Kiran Bedi to name a few.

Enough of Sarcasm, the police is equality corrupt in china or Pakistan so just not the reason to go there.

No one can deny that they are underpaid, overworked, played like football by politicians, what can police do if judiciary is slow/corrupt etc. etc.

Still in the country of billion plus if we see practically they are contributing a lot.

The US/UK does not want a efficient police system or Scotland yard kind of investigation authority.

What they are looking for is just the crowd control our police knows how to deal with religiously motivated communally sensitive large crowd handling and management. Also, to check the crime and terrorist.

Our police will always improve till the day we are satisfied by their service and duty.The more people star to vote, more people start to demand more from Government services. More it becomes a active political issue. More quickly it will get solved.

But how can we help build some one Else's house , if dont have our house in order first.

I disagree. Ironically we have the worst, under equpped, unfit police force in the world, atleast in Kerala. Probably one of the most under equipped compared to any of India's couterpart. Fireforce, state police, crime branch and forrest guards all of em sux; moreover, they arent coordinated. I would say let the IA train ANP if we are to train else dont do it.

we could train some IAS and IPS officers for Afghanistan as we are the best in that regard for sure. Also if we were to do something, we should bring these men to Inda rather than sending officals to Afghanistan.

Whenever I have travelled to Cal or T'vm, I have always been impressed by the Traffic Police there and could not help but compare them with that in NCR.

Among the state police , I have found the traffic cops in Mumbai & Chandigarh to be the best - extremely proactive .

Army rules. But did you even think of considering Mumbai Police. Watch black friday, look for Mumbai attack, they are brave. Encounter specialist Patil and more(i don't remember all of them but simply google) they stood still to fight terrorist. I don't mind if they took some bribe in their lifetime to fulfill there family needs. They could have taken a back, but they didn't. Think about it. Please don't traduce Indian Police. Though I don't mind if you do the same to the GOI.

I my self am from kerala, Kerala govt does not have enough funds to equip them, I live in chennai, come to chennai and see the police force
