A political analyst has rejected the United States’ strategy for staying in Afghanistan after 2014 as inapplicable, calling for an immediate departure of “the US and NATO forces” from the war-torn country, Press TV reports.

“We don’t think that the strategy that has been set up for Afghanistan after 2014 is applicable and, therefore, it’ll be nice, useful and beneficial for US and NATO forces to leave Afghanistan as soon as possible, and let Afghans decide their future,” said Mohammad Daoud Abedi, chairman of Afghan Nation Peace Council in a Monday interview with Press TV.

He further referred to deadly night raids carried out by US-led forces in Afghanistan, adding that they have happened “many, many times” so that “Afghan people and the so-called government in Kabul cannot take it.”

“The only way to solve this problem [night raids by US-led forces] is that the entire occupation forces leave Afghanistan as they have promised. There shouldn’t be any residual forces left in Afghanistan.”

Afghan authorities have frequently criticized US-led raids against civilians.

Afghan tribal leaders also accuse US-led foreign troops of storming Afghan people’s homes and taking them to unknown places without coordination with local authorities.

The pre-dawn attacks on civilian houses have been a source of tension in Kabul's ties with Washington and NATO, with the Afghan side repeatedly calling for an end to the controversial operations.

I presume the Americans have finally learned their lesson that they are not unbeatable :D, Afghanistan has stayed strong throughout the years but now the NATO forces are making it worse instead of helping it, I hope they start helping it in 2014, or otherwise Afghanistan will have to suffer even more.
