What's new

'URI attack', Whose responsibility/Accountability ?

The pattern has become too repetitive nowadays.

1) Attack happens in India

2) India immediately screams that Pakistan is responsible (followed by senior government officials threatening "surgical strikes" or even "nuclear war")

(Pause for a few days...)

3) India says they are "looking for evidence"

I mean, shouldn't they find evidence first?

You go bro!

This knee-jerk reaction by fanatics to please their bollywood masala addicted public to blame everything on Pakistan is the true cause of instability in this region!

.
Is there any evidence that they came from Pakistan?

Especially now that all the "news" of "Pakistani markings on the guns" turned out to be false?
Do they have his id card ?
How come we believe that he is a Pakistani or not an indian Muslim ?

BSF caught him while crossing the fence in border i posted the news...
I am not Special investigation office...you are asking Id card from me...:lol::lol::lol:

Don't worry parrot is speaking...

Ultra nationalism........We have not asked the right questions to ourselves....

1) How did they manage to cross over (this we may have an answer)
2) Even if they manage to cross how did they travel all the way to uri undetected????
3) There said to be credible intel provided on a possible attack, In spite of that how did they manage to attack?
4) The way things look there is some kind of inside help, Why are we not looking at it...
5) Counter intel guys couldnt pick the insider helps..... Why??

Whom to be blamed??? We ourselves.......

1. The were guided to pass safely to cross the mined field led down by PA on the other side of the border, and crossed the LOC, where there is no barbed wire due to natural barrier such as river, stream, mountaneous peaks, and took advantage of the high bushes, and jungles to keep them hidden.

2. They travelled by foot, because the camp was 6 km from the border, and nearly took 3 hour walk.

3. Because, the intel shows they are planning to infiltrate, but didn't gave the exact location, time, and the intensity.

4. Yes, there was an active local intel, because their maps did carry the marking showing the Officers mess, which was the real target, though they were stuck and stopped in the rear side of the camp. There must be some enquiry going on definately, but for an effective enquiry it should be done with the help of other agencies to gather all the intels and informations including the telephonic conversation.

5. Because the intel gatthering is a complex work and includes the human intel, signit, accessing the data, but most probably this plan was made long ago, looking at the prepareness, of the terrorists.

Last but not the least, you can only lower your losses, but could not completely avoid such suicidal attacks, and could only be countered, with the whole nation becoming the eyes and ears, and keep the vigillance and immediately indicating it to the authority of any suspicious.

Where is he these days??? Yerwada Jail???

Well we are not really surprised when even the saner Indian posters insist to accept their circumstantial evidence as undeniable proof of Pakistan's invovlement and at the same time brush away the hard evidence from the other side as non-serious.

As an adversary you are entitled to that, but hey, do you think you are the only ones who can exercise this right?

The question is how do we move forward? This is a stalemate for so many decades and both countries are stuck here!

You did not understand the post... Have you?? The question was to the poster who asked a question and think in that context......

I am in no position to accept him to be a RAW agent or Reject him to be one......

.
Where are the surgical strikes??
The media clamoured for surgical strikes . No governement spokesperson said anything about them. There will be no surgical strike, that much any one can tell.

And similarly you are not in a position to accept or reject other evidence of any type where you do not have right level of access or forensic expertise. So lets leave it there...

BTW I am talking in general, not specifc to that post I quoted. We both countries are stuck in a stalemate, your evidence is not acceptable to us, just like ours is not acceptable to you.

How do we move forward? How to end this stalemate?

Really , is that the true cause for instability in the region. you cant think of anything else that , i dont know is responsible for all the chaos

Have you EVER thought the same about those fanatic elements in your country who have been sponsoring cross-border terrorism in the region for more than half a century? And gloat so much about their support for Mukti Bahini, LTTE, BLA, TTP etc?

I agree, everyone should put own house in order. We Pakistanis feel the same here and despite knowing that more than 90% of terrorist attacks in Pakistan are Indian sponsored, we do not start jumping and accusing India outright after every attack within few minutes.

We feel it is our responsibility to protect our schools, hospitals, buses, funerals, churches, mosques from foreign sponsored terrorism.

Lol

You know what?
North Koreans believe they are the greatest nation in the world. Victims of govt propaganda!
Nazis fooled Germans into believing that Jews were their enemies. How can one forget holocaust?
The gist of it is...Pakistanis believe what is being fed to them by their media which is controlled by a few agencies.
If you thought you could use the same argument for Indian media then you're wrong. We are a democratic country. Diff sections of our media, and its affiliations ensure that we get all the news- good bad, ugly. Manipulating us is a lil hard.
I have heard that till 1990's, it was common among Pakistani parties to use anti-India speeches to get votes. I'm glad your people have matured now. Your post makes me doubt it though.

Now, if you thought I was foolish enough to believe that "90% of terrorist attacks" in Pakistan are sponsored by india then you're wrong.
Likes of Hafiz Saeed, whose organisation has been declared a terrorist org by UN, are not protected on our soil. Such ppl don't roam around on our streets giving hate speeches.
If I were to give you one more example, then let me remind you not so long back an Indian aircraft was hijacked by a Pakistani terrorist org. It was taken straight to Kandahar (Afghanistan) which was then under Taliban. I'm sure you're not naive enough to understand what I'm hinting at.
Having said that, I don't claim our agencies are angels. Do you expect our agencies to remain mum when the agencies of an enemy state fuel terrorism within our country? Really?

Coming back to our topic- Indian army.
Between our chief and the Uri attack there are many 2 and 3 star officers and soldiers who keep our army going. We are proud of them.
At this crucial juncture I would not like to demoralise our soldiers by criticising them. Army has its issues, it will be dealt with soon (I hope) now that it's come to the fore.

To this I'll repost what I wrote to Nair:

Oh that's easy!
We both mind our business, and not mention the K word.

"K word" is the only issue between Pak-Ind. How can you not address the core issue?
Can your govt afford not to say it?

I think during the last decade a kind of silent consensus was being built that India will keep IOK from news and at some point in time LoC becomes the permanent border.

But then came your Modi and "Gao Rakhsa" and everything is up in the smoke again.
