Number of MQM votes during second last elections: 186,000
Number of MQM votes during last elections: 137,000

Will be interesting to see how many votes MQM gets this time where Altaf Hussain himself ran the campaign and requested everyone from his previous home constituency to vote for his candidate.

Anything less than 100,000 will be a real let down.

Haider Abbas Rizvi and Imran Ismail had tea together and met each other with great warmth
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Friction between Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) fizzled out as soon as the polling ended in the NA-246 on Thursday. PTI candidate Imran Ismail and MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi had tea together and visited each other’s camps. Both leaders greeted each other with warmth, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media on this occasion, Haider rizvi said that he himself visited Imran Ismail and invited him to visit MQM camp. “We all are residents of Karachi. Elections aside, we all have to continue living here”, he said. He also announced that MQM will congratulate Imran Ismail if he gets the lead.

Imran Ismail said that MQM and PTI had different ideologies only. There were no personal rifts between them, he added. He said that he would accept whatever the outcome. He said that he would personally visit Nine-Zero if MQM won.

Imran Ismail also said that there was no poll rigging that he knew of.
