May be not at a tactical level, but take an example of Indian military's delayed modernization.. Nothing if not a strategic threat of immense proportions. Delayed atleast by a decade...

26/11 terror attacks and Pune terror blasts comes under home minister's department. While securing borders is under Antony's department.

Because of such terror incidents, now Government has to spend heavily on security of cities, which is under Home ministry. So Chidambaram is right.

Chidambram is better home minister than his predecessors.
Recently 73 crpf persons dead. He should have provided better equipments(bullet proof vest, arms, anti mine vehicles etc) to them.

Firstly, the crpf are not trained for jungle warfare.
Then , it was decided not to use airforce beacause they didn't want to be seen as warring against own people.
No proper maps are available of these naxal infested forests so that they could effectively counter the guerilla tactics of the naxals.
Under such circumstances such losses are bound to happen.You can't call it "failure". And moreover he took full responsibility for the incedent you cite and even submited his resignation to PM . He in no way tried to cover up.

I disagree. Naxals and Maoists are not even a matter of hours for the army. This issue is more of political motivated.

Pakistan is on the other hand has 50 times highly trained manpower than naxals and i am not even counting mechanized forces and independent battle groups and Air and Naval power.

If you are equating yourself to Naxals, your are grossly under evaluating your armed forces.

No buddy, this is not about defeating 2000 gorilla fighters hiding in trees, its about whole mindset that wants to isolate from the India. You might disagree but this is not matter of "hours" or "days" or even "months" if you like to put.

India is 3-4 times stronger than Pakistan already. How much insecure do a country need to be that after being 3-4 TIMES stronger than its enemy, it still feels need to build more arms pile?

Pakistan's whole doctrine is defensive in nature. India has already cut us in 2 halves without loosing anything to Pakistan plus it has superiority on almost all the fields of military. Your defense budget is 32 Billion while our is 4.8 or something. If this simple fact is incomprehensible by the grown ups like you and rest in the India, you got to start attending preps again. And yes, this forum is for the grown ups and if you think you are not that mature, please spend more time playing.
