I have told you before. Confident Vote is a joke and a scapegoat for the power elite in Vietnam to satisfy the anger after your govt **** up badly on SOEs. But nothing really change, the elite is still corrupt as shit. As least in my country, any officer who got a bad rep will face the wrap of public scrutiny and our govt is forced to take them down. At the end of the day, action and result is what matter. Not some stupid system that mask behinds the failure of the state.

.
In China, there are still strong elements of super conservatives against any reforms. In a way, it's a tug war among various interest groups. Xi is not that powerful to just brush away those elements and implement whatever he wishes.

Xi is not a dictator like what Mao was, sort of, who could just do whatever he wanted. But Xi is also an average person, so was Mao. You don't want Xi to carry his own wishes freely, as was Mao's well-intended policies turned out to be disastrous.

Compromise and gradual changes are the key, my friend, otherwise, it could tear up established social fabric.

The tagesschau just posted its main article about the more concrete result of the plenum summit

China will "Ein-Kind-Politik" lockern | tagesschau.de

I just sum up the most important facts:

1. loosening up the family planning law

2. more private capital investments

3. abolishing laogai :fans:

4. price reform for basic utilities, e.g. water gas, petrol, telecommunication and traffic

5. more rights and integration of migrant workers in cities

6. free floating the yuan

:enjoy:

Can somebody translate that. Since it's a pic I can't google translate it. Thanks!
2013 new Eight Reforms will affect Chinese life:
1. Abolish reeducation through labor system(laogai), and reduce the death penalty in the law.

2. One Husband or Wife is the only child, their family can birth two children.

3. Extending retire age.

4. For school & education system, do not setup key school and key class.

5. Open personal registered permanent residence into town and small cities, reasonable open registered permanent residence into big cities, need to strictly control the population in big cities.

6. Accept Chinese petitions on the internet, build government petition system on-line. (more like White House's petitions system)

7. Break the state monopoly, allow price reform of water, oil, electricpower, transportation, telecommunications. Capital market decide the price.

8. Speed up the legislation of property tax, build China housing and supply system (more like government's low-rent house)

Hukou system reform depends on the level of urbanization and land reform.it is unfair itself as you have so many farmers.if there are only one hundred million farmers, the injustice will disappear.maybe some city residents will yearn for country life.you know there are many farmers have houses in the nearby town and they still do not want to give up their rural hukou which means lost the farm land.if those who work in city lost jobs, they could go home and no need pay for tax.they live in city but can not enjoy equal treatment.it is the proplem about resource allocation, not about Hukou system.
freedom is a vague concept and chinas goverment only talk about democracy, social harmony instead of freedom.freedom is about constraint, antagonism.officers, nationals, medias will beat each other. It does not meet the spirit of traditional Chinese harmony.we need freedom, but unconditional everything.first what we need do is the legal construction, morality construction and improve people's quality of life and their cultivation.that is why the role of the media has been seriously distorted,it is not just a tool for politics or commercial endorsements.

You are stupid and delusional. Stop wasting my time.

I don't see what to upset about Xi's reforms. His reforms hit actual priorities of the nation, which is economic re-structuring and transitions.
It also started changes on long term targets like population stability and educational distribution. These are actual things that matters to the people and long term well being of the nation as a whole.
Personally, I wouldn't care about opinions from other nations as far as they can throw themselves. Remember, the stronger China is, the more upset they are going to be.

The Hukou system is still necessary, you won't want to have many peasants to flood into the major cities like Beijing and Shanghai, won't you?
I think you haven't read his reform statements careful.

1. The SOE has corruption, but privatization is not a solution. A society needs both SOE and POE, but you can't privatize everything. The US is an epic example of having too powerful POE that making its government the servant of corporation instead serving its people's interest.

2. As the Hukou system, i already mentioned it above. Since you don't even have a clue about the reality the Hukou system, you have probably left China when you were little, and i was in China until reaching my early adulthood, i know the situation in China far more than you.
