United Kingdom general election, 2017

@vostok do you want to do a trade, we take putin and you can have may and corbyn. personally i think you should go for it, a 2 for 1 is a great deal.
I can give you Poroshenko, for free. I'll even pay you a penny!

@mike2000 is back So,who will get your vote ?
Conservative bro. I'll rather have May lead us than Corbyn. He will be a disaster for this country. He's mire suited to be a trade union leader or a leftist human rights campaigner .lol
How can I vote for someone who sympathizes with terrorist groups like IRA and won't openly condemn their terror actions they committed, who says force shouldn't be used against terrorist like ISIS sympathizers carrying out attack against civilians in U.K(as if you can negotiate with such people) , who wants to unilaterally scrapped our nuclear deterrent and probably long term wise scrap our military altogether. Lol He us someone who supports any group or person who is against Britain or the West (doesn't matter who). Someone who calls dictator Fidel Castro as a defender of human rights and civil liberties is not to be tajen seriously, much less allowed to rule this country.
I'm always wary of far leftists(like Corbyn) just like I'm towards the far right .They are both dangerous for a country as a leader.

Tory lead cut to five points as Corbyn closes in on May

Theresa May’s manifesto pledges on social care and school lunches appear to have damaged her lead in the polls, giving Jeremy Corbyn Labour’s highest level of support in more than two years

Theresa May’s poll lead has fallen to five points a fortnight before the general election — the smallest margin over Labour since she came to power.

A YouGov poll for The Times puts Labour on 38 per cent of the vote, up three points since the end of last week and the party’s best performance since Jeremy Corbyn became leader in September 2015.

The Conservatives are down one point to 43 per cent, the Liberal Democrats up one point to 10 per cent and Ukip up one to 4 per cent.

If the swing is replicated in every constituency Mrs May would lose seats and the Conservatives would have an overall majority of two, down from 17.

@Blue Marlin @mike2000 is back

So,what are your own forecasts ?
I really wonder if May's strategy will pay off.... or backfires.

"Well,at least I tried".

Yes, it's an interesting situation. May's Manifesto was indeed strange. I believe Labour's party Manifesto is more popular with the public than the conservatives, even though they still haven't told us how they are going to finance all the free social service they pledged in their Manifesto. To me labour's policies are unrealistic and smacks of populism border line socialism. It's mostly what people want to hear, but they don't really care to ask or know how that will be financed, especially on the long term and the effects this will have on public finances. Even so, Labour's most popular Manifesto policy is raising income tax on the wealthiest 5% to address the crisis in health and social care which has proved to be very popular with the public. So even according to surveys it was revealed that there is widespread support for Labour's manifesto pledges, but majority of voters(even those who support labour) say Corbyn would be a disaster as PM. That's labour's main handicap.

So I believe for Labour, it is Jeremy Corbyn’s credentials as a leader, rather than the party’s policy platform, which remain the biggest challenge to address between now and June 8. Personally I think without Corbyn labour will have beaten the conservatives by quite a margin, since he's the only person that makes some people who would have voted labour(like myself) not to do so.

I still believe he conservatives will win though. The margin might be smaller than originally anticipated.

What happens if Tories fail to get a majority? How much possibility of that happening? I thought Tories were up for an easy win.

Theresa May looking more and more likely to be UK's Hillary Clinton. What an uncharismatic and boring politician. Losing votes to delusional Corbyn's labour and Tories look increasingly likely to lose majority
