You seem not to like Tagore. But, he was not a politician, a Hindu or communal-minded. Is it because he opposed the establishment of Dhaka University? Was he an anti-Muslim because he opposed it during the British time when the superstitious Muslims of eastern Bengal did not like entering even the Primary Schools?

When less than 1% of the then Muslims entered primary schools how do you expect these uneducated group of people to enter Dhaka University? A University is not based on religion but on merits. I have read some of your previous posts where you said something very impractical like Tagore opposed Dhaka University because the Muslims will get educated there. How will you defend your statement when the then Muslims avoided entering even the primary schools?

West Bengal and Assam (Assamese are half-Bengalis anyway) are parts of greater Bangladesh but religious tension made it split in pieces. Bangladesh is literally (East Bengal + West Bengal + Assam + Arakan). When modern day Bangladesh was erstwhile East Pakistan Arakan state of Burma was going to be part of Bengal but Jinnah declined it. Rohingyas lost an opportunity to merge their territory with Bangladesh back in 1947. Now they are suffering from that mistake.

Religion was important part of Bengali Muslim identity but Bengali Muslims are different. They are Muslims with huge Hindu centric cultural identity. Although West Bengal (Hindus) controlled East Bengal (Muslims) both lived like brothers but when some communal people instilled communal seeds in Bengal by declaring direct action day Bengali Hindus and Muslims became enemies of each other. Kolkata riots (West Bengal) and Noakhali riots (East Bengal) were two major communal events where many Hindus and Muslims were killed. This made matter worse and partition happened.

Bangladesh was whole Bengal and Assam and historically Arakan also but what finally left was only East Bengal and Assam's Sylhet. Sylhetis are generally considered half Bengali or only Sylheti because their main roots are in Assam which is not entirely Bengal but half-bengal culturally.

East and West Pakistan was made as a seperate homeland for indian Muslims.

The most populous province of punjab has about approx 10 different ethnicities and so does the least populous province balochistan has atleast 4 to 6 different ethnicities...

We still believe in the basic principles that are the basis of the creation of Pakistan. Bengalis refute the principle, that is the basis for the creation of pakistan and form a seperate homeland that is based on ethnicity and not religion...
So why are they seperate from India if they don't believe in the very reason for their creation....
They must revert back to their roots.. We rose growers use the term ' sport' in roses..
Sometimes a rose of particular color start having different color blooms. That is called the sport of that rose ie that it revert back to its parent plant...
Similarly Bangladesh must return back to its parent country, if it believes in being an ethnic bengali country.
You get rid of pakistan but bengalis are still divided . Bengalis must achieve their dream and join each other.
The dream of an all bangala nation cannot be achieved without joining of both bengals.
Otherwise I don't see the reason for the creation of Bangladesh.
