It does actually. These motions may not bring any tangible immediate benefits but it surely fertilize the growing movement against the opposing entity.

Better late than never, I suppose. Not that such motions matter, but I am sure Israel appreciates us coming out openly, especially when Europe is shifting against Israel.

You abstained !!

Atleast show some balls and vote against if your going to go down the Zionist route

This is shift in Indian foreign policy but not open support may be keeping the relations with Iran in mind

.
Non Alignment policy not relevant anymore. We should align with our interests. Israel has stood with us so shall we.

.
Relationship is Iran is has no strategic potential. There values and govt structures are not compatible with ours. Iranians are also not reliable allies and there have been many instances where they have courted anti-India entities.

Conforming our Foreign Policy to appease Iranians and Gulf States just to keep them neutral is a very defensive framework where as we need to become more assertive in our international relationships

No change in India's position on support to Palestinian cause: MEA | Zee News
Last Updated: Saturday, July 4, 2015 - 00:24

New Delhi: Asserting that there is no change in the country`s long-standing position on support to the Palestinian cause, the MEA on Friday said that whenever there has been a Human Rights Council resolution which referred directly to the International Criminal Court, as had happened in the cases of Syria and North Korea, India`s general approach has been to abstain.

"There is no change in India`s long standing position on support to the Palestinian cause. The issue in this particular Resolution was the reference to the International Criminal Court (ICC). As you are aware, India is not a signatory to the Rome Statute which established the International Criminal Court (ICC)," said Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Vikas Swarup.

"In the past also, whenever there has been a Human Rights Council resolution which referred directly to the ICC, as had happened in the cases of Syria and North Korea, our general approach had been to abstain. It was in keeping with this principle that India decided to abstain on this particular Resolution," he added.

Swarup`s remarks come after India abstained from voting on the applications of a Palestinian and an American Non-Governmental Organisation for special consultative status in a UN committee.

Abstinence is actually balancing, earlier India used to vote 'against' Israel. Now we are neutral neither with you nor against
