What about using this cannon to haul large Mechanical Loads into Space.

I mean they could be delivered into space at a fraction cost of Space Shuttle.

Absolutely, like sending a tank of gas or water, sturdy objects. It can place such objects in orbit. Than some rocket/space-shuttle kind of thing can place the object at required coordinates. May be haul it up to a space station. Thus reducing the cost of placing in orbit greatly!!

Not only water and fuel but also heavy metals.I mean Parts could be send by cannon and when they reach in the space they could Cold Welded.

Ok one thing more the idea that in order to encounter G force.A Vacuum can be created and sensitive equipment can be Placed inside that Vacuum.What do you think about it.

Acceleration is not affected by putting something in air/vacuum. What we call "g force" is just a reference, meaning simply the acceleration faced by the object as a ratio to acceleration due to gravity. For example, a freely falling object under earths gravity near surface falls with 9 m/sec squared. A bike accelerating from 0 to 60 km/hr in 5 sec suffers acceleration of 3.33 m/sec squared or roughly 0.35g. Whether the body is in vacuum or in air, if its accelerating, force will act on it.

So no, putting a object in vacuum will not change anything.

First of all Please Forgive my ignorance and second thks i was thinking the same but was intrigued by Vacuum Idea so i thought of Conforming.

Ok so one thing more i need to ask what do think is there any counter from G Force or there will never be.

Nope, no counter to G force, till we don't control the gravity and artificially create it. So thats distant future!!

I wonder why hasn't any other Country used this Idea to Deliver non perishable goods into Space.

Biggest reason, nobody needs to throw sturdy things in orbit, at least up till now. Second, even in future, if the need arises. A cannon like this would have a fixed diameter, and a fixed maximum load limit. But the things needed in orbit would not have a fixed shape, size or mass.

I mean suppose there from 200Km you put Crates of Ammunition made of Solid steel and also a Parachute.

And Fire the Cannon.Your Army is Dying and does need Ammunition Immediately.This Would Give them Ammunition Immediately.What do you say about it.

Quite possible, if you are sure that the ammunition will not land in hands of enemy!! And the ammunition must be well placed.

In a gun, a bullet is hit by a hammer. The heat generated by this hammer is sufficient to explode the explosives on the bullet.
Most of the ammunition is very sensitive.

Besides, if the parachute doesn't opens (like sometimes do happen), you did be making the enemy really happy!1

Now the Objective of the Project was to put some very hard material bars into space.In the Shape of Pencil.

So when America Needed to destroy something buried and hardened deep underground they wouldn't have to use Bunker Busters Instead they would just drop the thing with a little bit of Navigation and Kinetic Energy attained by the Unexploding Pencil would do the rest.Even Destroying the deepest of the deep targets.

So is it Possible that suppose we make such Pencils put it in the gun fire into orbit and when it reached orbit install the Pencil with guidance equipment and Drop.It would destroy anything.What do you say.

Imagine the satellite would truly become a killer weapon.

Well that would be possible only if what ever they are launching from space survived its trip back to earth.

Yar if a giant and Complex thing such as a shuttle can survive earth re-entry there shouldn't be a Problem for a simple Dumb Pencil.

Of Course Special Materials would be needed to make it avoid it's melting upon re-entry.

Installing the guidance system in projectile in orbit is something even US can't do right now. Pre-installed guidance system wont work after getting thrown out of the gun. So no use of gun still!!

But yeah, if we can put some satellite in orbit with those pencil thingies, it would be a killer weapon..

Space shuttles reduce their velocity as they enter the atmosphere. What we want is quite the reverse. But it wont be a big problem, as even if a little part of the projectile survives, it can do big damage.
