Dreaming doesn't make it a reality.

Read through many other forums, you will find your countrymen talking of annexing Bangladesh.Often repenting why they had not done it in 1971..blah ..blah... blah.

Now I tolerate that.Hopefully you will too.

You nation doesn't even form a blip on my peoples radar except when it comes to the illegal immigrant or the terrorist attack. As far as 1971go's yes if not for us you would have been enjoying a honeymoon

.
Come on leon how many Bangladesh hatred thread opened here compared to Indian hatred thread opened by your country men?? The numbers speaks the truth ..

I am not talking about in PDF only. But in world wide web.

Definitely its lower here, but I am not only talking about PDF.The numbers do speak the truth..

Bangladesh have potential for growth, best of luck to Bangladesh, please don't bring religion into it.

If you are India hater you must be one of the most ungrateful person on this earth and can not be a true muslim as you try to pose. From your freedom to bread was because of India. Even China is helping you only because the reason is to encircle India. :blah:

If BD is so prosperous :smitten:why the millions of bengladeshis are in India and involve in the lowest ranking jobs like thief/kabriwala/rickshaw puller etc.
Plz don't talk like a Wahabi/talibani/perfect idot.:chilli:

This is AGP who conducted the massacre and they are still there to do the same. They formed allegiance with BJP now and got out of ULFA long since. Current ULFA is not Bengali Haters. Infact they protected Bengali muslim after Gujrat and Babri massacre.
Nellie massacre was perpetrated by AASU (All Assam Student Union). They later fought election as AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) while a faction joined ULFA.

The Assam movement in the late 70s was almost entirely based on the issue of infiltration from BD. The allegation was that the GoI was way too laid back to check the huge influx of such illegal immigrants from BD, which skewed the demographics of Assam against the indigenous population, and poached on their jobs. This spilled, into anti-non-Assamese movement (particularly anti-Bengali), but not to the same degree as Lachit Sena of the 60s.

While AASU/AGP came out of their anti-non-Assamese mantle, because it was clearly turning out to be counterproductive for their political aspirations, ULFA stepped in. Many of the sympathizers of this anti-non-Assamese movement, within AASU, gladly joined ULFA.

ULFA was formed for solving the exact same problems that AASU attempted to address - illegal immigration. While AASU softened up and sought peaceful means, ULFA became secessionist.

Irony is that since ULFA became secessionist, they had to hide out in neighbouring countries and BD was more than willing to give refuge to them. This meant that they had to completely abandon their anti-illegal-immigration stance – the very issue that saw the start of Assam movement. On the other hand because of New Delhi’s extremely hardened stand, they had to abandon their hardcore anti-non-Assamese stance (although once in a while they would massacre the Biharis)

So basically today’s ULFA doesn’t really have an issue that connects with Assamese. They have also failed to explain how an independent Assam would be better off than it is today. No wonder they have lost their appeal among Assamese.

ULFA is now na ghar ka, na ghat ka.

You people can save that joy for another day.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
ULFA is smart, and they know they can not wage a war against 40% of its population.

If you are India hater you must be one of the most ungrateful person on this earth and can not be a true muslim as you try to pose.

Do u want to mean that, even, if India do evil deeds, but we should not hate them?!!!

And do u know how many Indians are in BD for their job?

.
I have tried very hard to restrain myself from posting in the BD section mainly due to:

1. My inability to counter high level of intellectuality and logical debate from the 99% BD posters.
2. The humane love of 99.9% BD poster's toward India and Indians brings tear to my eyes all the time whenever I visit these BD forum.

However, being an Assamese and having spent 32 years of my life in Assam till very recently, I could not restrain myself from stating the following very obvious facts:

A) The wet dream of some people that they will be able to grab Assam will remain what it is, a wet dream! period.

B) There is a certain reason why ULFA has not been successfull and is dying its natural death. It does not represent the Assamese. They are few (if you count now may be a couple of thousand) misguided section, in line with the now defunct and dead Khalistan movement, who does not have the slightest idea of their own demands. Their motivation is completely different from bringing prosperity to Assam. Just shouting sovereighnity, sovereighnty does not make someone revolutionary. Those times are over and people of today requires more then few rhetorics, hate speech and war cries to be convinced. Those who are still dreaming that the same will work (including few posters in this thread) are nothing but primitive fools who has failed to cop up with today's geopolitics.

C) People who cannot hide their delight at looking at these so called separatist movements inside India are only displaying their inherrent hatred, which I'm sure has been inculcated by their upbringing. Because, I for one surely know their religion, be it hindu or Islam, does not teach one self to be this hatefull. I would have said the same to someone getting delighted in Baluch movement in Pakistan.

D) In any case no point in critisizing a terminally ill organization. It's dying out pretty soon.

Thanks

P.S: Did I forget to thank BD for their invaluable help in accelerating ULFA's death. ONEK DHONNOBAAD!!

I think Tripura and Monipur are far better candidate for that kind of wet dream. They just love us. :cheesy:

Good.. In 1971 W. Pakistan used the same kind of word you do. That did not changed the reality on the ground rather complicated it.

Yes few people gets delighted in a harmless way only because of Indian hegemony. Dont forget there were deep rooted hatred which created Pakistan in 1947. Ask your AGP and BJP, they will answer better.

We will see.

This ULFA feaver is soon going to be over...Just like Pakistan funded Khalistan movement....just a matter of time....

You had to killl 3000 Sikhs for that.

Anyway ULFA is giving India a nightmere since long.

If your India is so propreous than why India asks Bangladesh to invest in NE.

Take some time out and use your head to understand the importance of BD.
Although you separated BD from us for that chicken-neck thingy but seems with NE in trouble India has become a chicken itself.

.
welcome back jana.. what went wrong???:hitwall:

.
I appeal to Bangladeshi brothers to continue cracking down on ULFA and all other terrorist groups operating from its soil.

It may also turn out that people in this country will crack down on this traitor Awami League because it broke an unwritten rule as well as our custom by handing over people, ULFA or not, who took shelter in this country. You will agree that the AL act was unethical.

.
Well many of your faternity are having the wet dream of splitting, ruling NE.So I just gave you an insight of what GoI thinks.Believing or not is upto you
It is time you should understand one thing that Union of India has no or little control over the NE. It cannot unilaterally develop this region when people are hostile and the land is too far away from Delhi.

An underdeveloped NE is, therefore, seeking to reinstate its independence that it lost to Bengal Presidency ruled by bloody British only in the late 18th century. It was a separate entity until then. It was not conquered neither in Hindu or Muslim time. So, they do not regard themselves as Indian, but as Assamese.

Anything wrong with my statement? As for uniting with BD, well, it was made a part of the present day BD once in 1905 that continued for over 5 years. So, BD cannot certainly claim NE. But, if the assamese want that way in the future, BD should consider it. For now, we should limit our NE activities only in industrial development.

Instead of wasting your juice on bed sheet, try to put them to good use.

That, you think East Pakistan of '71 can be even compared to Assam of 2009, speaks volumes about your understanding, or the lack of it, of Assam situation.

You had to killl 3000 Sikhs for that.
That is unfortunate.

But really, one would assume that a country which has one East Pakistan on its resume, wouldn't be counting dead bodies for a long long time to come.
