I am at a bit of a loss to figure out who desired and initiated this meeting.
1. If the Ambassador did it, why did she do that and what does she want? She can make that perfectly valid comment on her Twitter or Embassy's web page without raising anyone's hackles.
2. If the CEC did it, it is even more mysterious. Why did he do that and what does he want? Isn't he aware that this will not go well with many Pakistanis? Is he just too stupid or he simply doesn't care for propriety? Both of which indicate the poor quality of Pakistan's civil servants.
