Ukraine says Pakistan could be a regional partner for the joint production of Antonov An-225.

Ukrainian Ambassador Volodymyr Lakomov says his government is ready to cooperate with Pakistan in the defence sector.
The ambassador said the two countries are working to finalise a draft agreement of Mutual Encouragement Investment Protection to enhance investment opportunities.
He said both countries had multi-billion dollar bilateral trade potential which should be explored on a priority basis.
Talking about the role of Pakistan against terrorism, he said the entire world recognises the sacrifices of Pakistani nation and the armed forces.

Do you know what having a AN-225 means? It is a fuel guzzler, doesn't have STOL capabilities, needs special runways to land, requires humongous maintenance and is only used for carrying off-sized cargo.

How does PAF intend to justify its purchase?

what is use of such a lumberer in military.

Or civilian for the countries in subcontinent.

We don't manufacture like China does, which means neither Pakistan nor any other subcontinental country would be able to keep this mammoth flying for long; which is precisely what an aircraft is supposed to do for making money.

Lolzz.This means he is talking about An-140 which is a light-medium transport aircraft with a maximum capacity of 6000kg(similar to C-235).

And you know that only 1 or two build till date...i wonder why Pakistan need this big plane...Once they tried to build commercial passenger Jet with the capacity of 1500 passengers but rejected the idea later....May be because in case of accident or crash no airline in the world can stand 1500 human losses.
