You're too emotional. Those immigrants are skilled and have applied to come to UK. They've been selected, ending uncontrolled immigration wouldn't harm them, rather it will benefit skilled immigrants.

Not being emotional at all my friend...just being rational. Uncontrolled immigration is an issue for every political party including the Tories & the Labour...but UKIP's problem is immigration of all kinds..including the ones from EU community. & you can not pull UK out of EU just 'cause you have immigrants from other European countries working in the UK. That's just absurd...'cause the consequences of isolating yourself from rest of Europe wouldn't be that good at all.

I don't know about other Asians. Sri Lankan Asians are not into iberal hippies. The issue with liberals is that, the don't offer any real solutions but the usual "see no evil hear no evil speak no evil" bs.

The leaders debate was interesting and I thought Cameron, Farage and Sturgeon came out on top. If Labour takes over, kiss goodbye to any economic recovery and the floodgates to everyone in the world will be open.

My main concerns are and they are (not in any order) the state of the economy, immigration and public services, chief of these being the NHS and of course education.

I'll hope for a conservative win.

I am voting labour... but secretly hope for a conservative led govt.

You do know that it was the conservative governments of Anthony Eden, Harold Macmillan and Alex Douglas which invited the Caribbean immigrants during the wind rush years, and later the Asians from Pakistan and India right?

The greater London town I am from, the Pakistani community there has always vote conservative. Labour only got a look in during the Blair years. As for racism, here is a point, it was Labour who decided to take the country to Iraq and kill thousands and waste the lives of British servicemen. The Asian communities demonstrated till the cows came home and the Labour government took no notice.

What's wrong with that statement? Having paid into the system for the best part of 27 years, I don't want people to take advantage of that. You will find the rest of the population agrees.

I only know that last five years of conservative were very bad for immigrants especially asians as most of them waited for years for decisions of their outstanding applications and some were deported unfairly just to reduce the net immigration even when they satisfied the legal requirements . Immigrations officers at heathrow were given more rights to deport whoever they wish with no right of appeals whatsoever . Rules were keep changing after few months as well increase in immigration visa fees. You are probably british Pakistan who don't care how everyone else suffered because of bad immigration policies of conservative. You cannot bring your wife and kids in UK if you are british and earning minimum wages

The vast majority of British Asians have always preferred Labour over the Conservatives though, this is indisputable. This isn't surprising since it's the Tories that have been traditionally hostile to immigration.

I am British Pakistani, but I do care for genuine skilled labour that the nation needs.

Its wrong to view the colour and nationality of a sick people before giving him treatment. We should look at patient through human perspective

I know, but times have changed and this isn't the same conservatives.
As for Labour their track record has been horrible in goverment. Before Blair, they presided over some of the worst events in UK economic history i.e. the winter of discontent. I can't believe people just look at how they were in the past, even when ironically they invited migrant workers.

You probably don't know that a british person cannot bring his wife and kids in UK if he is working full time on minimum wages. How it seem fair? Either increase minimum wages or accept it enough to support your families . I am against illegal workers or those who cheat the systems but you have no clue how many genuine people suffered in the hand of strict immigrations.

It was a case of miscommunication. Yes you should treat someone who is poorly, and we are one of the few countries in the world which does that for free and doesn't bill the patient. Try getting sick in the USA....
However, we simply can't treat everyone and why should the responsibility for treating people from other countries be absolved from the countries these people are from? The resources are simply not there.
